Draco was still finishing his letter when someone peered in. It was Harriet, the Ravenclaw girl from yesterday. Draco offendedly jumped, looking over his shoulder to her, crumbling the parchment he was writing in his palm.

"Oh, sorry to bother you" she squeaked meekly.

"What are you doing here!?" Draco growled. "Don't you see it's the boy's dorm?"

She smiled innocently, leaning on the doorframe: "Oh don't you think it's a bit outdated this whole boys and girls things? I mean we're basically adults."

"I suppose" Draco frowned uptight in his chair.

She glanced over dreamily. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing"

She smiled faintly at Twiggles, nibbling the cake. "That's a nice cake, and a beautiful bird, what's its name?"

"Twiggles."

"Twiggles? You're lucky to have two pets."

"Oh, she's not mine" Draco said perplexed but bored, trying to straighten his gaze.

"Okay-" Harriet smiled naively. She had reached all the way up to the desk and was stroking Twiggles feathers, who was pleasantly cooing. "Fred and George" she spelled out in a curious whisper.

Draco cleared his throat: "Listen er, about yesterday..."

She smiled: "You were a nice friend" and sat on his bed without asking.

Draco didn't know if he should have a panic tantrum or shout at her. He did nothing.

"It's just, I wasn't exactly myself yesterday."

"Oh it's fine, I'm never myself. Who is?" she cackled irritatingly.

Draco was really thrown off by her. How dared she intrude on his personal space, the one place that had been untouched by anyone but him, the bed still carrying the memories of his nightmare, and the desk bearing Fred & George's affection.

"It's nice here, I like the color green." She smiled with a blue air.

Draco decided to let her be. He tried to get back to writing, but his hand was shaky, his body tense. Why was he letting a silly girl walk all over him?
