This life was hell. No, this isn't an overdramatic statement (it is Draco you pussy). The twins hadn't sent an owl back yet, and Draco was raging at the thought of it.
Luckily, he was too numb to deal with any of his peers' sneers, inquisitions, and cold remarks... Well, from times to times, he did break down crying in the bathroom. Being told over and over again that you are a filthy, vile, repugnant dick sucker, a traitor to wizarding families' history, and any insult under the sun, did start to sting after a while. Draco didn't know what hurt the most, the 1st years who treated him like literal garbage, the 7th years who he felt incredibly meek and small in comparison to, feeling like they had their whole life ahead of them while he was an irreversible failure. Seeing the other houses reactions was just as bad, and Ron's murderous stares were enough to make him want to vomit. But you would also be surprised by the amount of students who cheered him on. Either they saw him as some kind of idol, a gay icon who had redeemed from his past, or as a kind of huge joke. A lot of others believed it was simply a prank, or they were in denial. Either way, McGonagall was speedy at regaining order over the school, even though she hadn't adressed a word to Draco.
It all really felt like some kind of nasty dream that dragged on for too long, days and days. His lack of sleep and the feeling of being trapped in school wasn't really helping with it either.
