We move onto the second act of the campaign where things begin to pick up.

Waking up the next morning, I felt my arm being held. I looked to my left to see Sugar sleeping away. Smirking a little, I moved my arms around her, gently pulling her in for a morning hug. But even that was enough to wake her up. She opened her eyes to see me up close, which made her blush before hugging me back.

"Morning, Partner..." She whispered.

"Same to you, or should that be girlfriend?" I asked.

"Yeah, you're right."

We both sat up, not realizing that we were still wearing nothing after last night. The smile then went away from her face, it seems she had something on her mind.

"I know this is supposed to be cool and romantic, but I just can't get this worry for Milk and Frima out of my head." She said before looking at me. "Commander, will it be okay if I spend time with them for a few days?"

"That will depend on what the next mission will be, since we gotta get to Malcolm's office as soon as we're ready." I replied. "But if there is a way, you can. Actually, I think I should have a word with the girls again. Because they have a right to be a little selfish and shouldn't have to devote all of their time to me, even though it's what they do and I love them for that."

"I'm sure they all do, and I'm no exception. Still, if you're able to give me time off, it won't change how I feel about you now. I did confess to loving you after all."

"Yeah, and it makes me feel happy to be loved, since I used to be quite lonely for a while."

We shared another morning dose of affection before getting up, I got changed while Sugar grabbed her dress and snuck out to her shared room to change. Cleaning up, I went downstairs to make breakfast and the rest of the harem soon turned up.

"Morning, handsome." Anis greeted as she hugged me. "How was last night?"

"Quite passionate, really." I replied, hugging her back. "By the way, this is gonna sound odd, but I just wanted to share that I really love being with you girls and I love the fact that I get to live with you all. But you shouldn't have to devote your time to me everyday, you girls have a right to take a break from fighting and relax on occasion."

"Awww, that's sweet of you, but there's no need to worry about that."

"How so?"

"Because we want to keep fighting for you, master." Neon answered as I saw the others coming down.

"It's kind of you to think of our well being, but remember what I said when we first met?" Rapi asked. "We're not like ordinary humans, we're much more durable in combat."

"In more ways then one, of course." Yuni smirked.

"Yeah! More ways than one!" Alice agreed.

Marian blushed. "You shouldn't agree to that in public, even though it's only us."

I could only smile back at them. "You know, after hearing that. I still wonder if I should grow up a little and take things more seriously. But then...naaaaaah, it's not really for me."

"Perhaps, but we know that you're only being serious when you're on a mission." Mihara said before she gave me a kiss. "This is who you really are and we'll never ask you to change who you are."

"Yeah, you're right. Anyway, Sugar will be down shortly, so let's get breakfast done."

After going through breakfast, we made our way to Malcolm's office. He wasn't the only one present, since Syuen was there along with a Nikke I had yet to meet.
