Turning The Tide (GDI Route)

Apologies for the minor cliffhanger, let's hear the commander's answer.

"Hmm...let's go with Stuttgart." I declared. "We should be able to find a base or something."

"Understood, get ready to depart, we'll have a transport waiting for you outside." Shifty replied. "Be careful out there."

We left the office and walked up to the surface to find the attacks had stopped. An Ox-transport was waiting and we got on it before it lifted off, taking us to Stuttgart.

"Curious question to you two." I said. "Were you brought here by a summoner?"

"Yeah, we got into this world a few weeks ago." Jackal answered. "The guy we met was kinda cool, but also reckless, which is a bonus for me."

"When we got friendly with him, he was willing to make an effort to make me feel special." Viper said. "So we tried dating and it seems to be going well for us. Just wished we had more time."

"Well, I'm sure he'll get to, once we find a way to stop this alien invasion." I replied.

The transport ship landed at a nearby destroyed mammoth tank and we got off it quickly. I then saw a commando who rushed up to me.

"So you're the TIA commander I've been hearing about. I'm Lt. Fullerton, sir! I've managed to avoid the alien patrols so far...looks like they don't know I'm here."

"That's good. So what's the situation?" I asked.

"Okay, I've got men pinned down all over the city. We need to get them back together if we stand a chance of reclaiming this place."

We followed the commando and made our way across the rundown buildings, we were able to rescue a squad of engineers which were essential for this mission. Along with riflemen when the three girls took down the buzzards, while the commando destroyed one of the alien tripods.

"Sir, we have a clear path to our forward base at the east, let's hustle." The commando said. "We have a tech centre over there, so you can use that for cover."

I nodded. "Good thinking."

We rushed ahead to the east of the area and found the GDI base. An engineer went in to restore power to the plant, granting me control of the base while I went inside the tech centre to make contact with the girls outside.

"Alright, I'm in a safe place now. You're free to go wild and assist the commando while looking for more GDI forces. And then, we have to destroy the alien's Drone Platform at their base."

"Loud and clear, commander." Viper replied.

"Yeah, let's go all out!" Jackal added happily.

I had a few pitbulls and APCs built as they joined up with the commando and the nikkes. I could only look on as two more engineers were used to capture two more power plants which brought the communications outpost area and the armoury area online.

It was time to focus on rescuing the last of the missing units. I watched as the team went around the rest of the city while avoiding the northwest since that was where the alien base was. When I saw zone troopers, sniper teams and missile squads rescued, the tide was turning.

I then had two engineers restore power to two power plants which activated the sonic emitters that tore through the alien units that got too close. By now, we had the whole city clear of alien presence, all that was left was the base.

I had predators ready to move in and mow down the buildings, which didn't take long with all of my units attacking at once. The drone platform was now vulnerable and I had it destroyed which also detonated the remaining structures and units. This mission was over.
