Okay, Y/N wouldn't lie. The only reason she tagged along with her father and brother to get this one item was merely because she wanted to also pick up some steel toed, knee-length, lace-up platform boots she saw.
But, the guys didn't need to know that. Y/N put her hands into her jacket pockets as she trailed after her father, her brother not far behind. A few mortal men glanced at her with flustered expressions and admiration.
She giggled, winking at them as she walked by. To be honest, she liked teasing mortals. She'd never date one but teasing was fun. Plus, the way her dad glared at the guys staring at her made her feel a sense of untouchability.
The three walked into the store, right past the line of people without a care in the world. She and Redson went up to the counter first.
The guy working at the counter had this blue bowl cut and glasses and was working at a speed that would've made a cheetah blush.
Y/N leaned on the countertop, honestly just amused to be there. Redson cleared his throat but that didn't get the guy's attention.
Y/N sighed and cleared her own throat, the guy looked up at her. "I'm here for the new platform boots, the lace up ones. And they're here for the new Yeelzabub shoes." She informed the guy, gesturing to her dad and brother.
The cashier scoffed, pausing to push up his glasses. "Yeah, you and everyone else." He said before pointing to the end of the long line spanning more than a few blocks. "Head to the back of the line." He ordered.
Y/N bit back a snarl at the rude tone. Redson turned back to the cashier, leaning over the counter with an enraged expression. "Do you know who HE is?" He asked, before doing some hand gestures and pointing to their dad. "That's the DBK you're talking to!" He added.
The cashier didn't look up. "Oh, yeah. That's cool." He murmured. Redson was about to attack but their father pushed him back by literally picking him up and setting him back a bit.
Y/N snickered softly at the side. It was funny seeing Redson be picked up like a bobblehead. But still, this cashier was starting to get on even her nerves.
"Why don't you tell the people at the back of the line?-" he yelled before immediately regretting it as he realized he was pointing at a very menacing purple bull demon.
"I am the Demon Bull King, scourge of the netherworld, and I will be taking those shoes." He boomed, his voice menacing all on its own without having to yell.
Y/N snickered at the way the mortal shrunk back in his seat. "Uh! You still have to wait in line. I'm sorry?" The cashier stammered out, voice cracking at the end.
She smirked. "Oh, you will be, pretty boy." She sneered, standing aside her brother as they watched the scene play out. The furnace started to glow and power up as it sucked in a shoe and then almost all of them.
Y/N and Redson had stars in their eyes as they watched on, sauelaing to themselves like little kids. "This is so cool!" Redson squeaked. "I know, right? Dad's awesome!" Y/N whispered back.
Their father grabbed a golden shoe that was about to be sucked in and smirked. "Do you know what's better than limited edition?" He asked. "One of a kind!" He finished before laughing maniacally.
Y/N and Redson had taken the moment of chaos to grab shoes for themself. Redson grabbed some that matched their dad's while Y/N grabbed the boots she wanted. She finished lacing it up and smirked.
"Oh my stars. I look good!" She squealed, pulling out her phone and taking a few pictures. She paused and turned to her brother. "Red, get over here!" She told him, waving him over with her free hand.
