Hongjoong knew that there were other pirates around but it was not common to run into them, especially at sea. Normally, if someone were to see a pirate ship, even if they were pirates themselves, the smart thing to do is to turn in the opposite direction and sail away. It was hard to tell friend from foe on the sea. The only people he now did trust was the Swan and even that was taking some time, thanks to his crew. Even though the air was clear between Captain and crew, the same could not be said for Hongjoong's crew and his cousin.
But there was one other 'ally' that Hongjoong had found in his eight years as Captain. They were somewhat unpredictable but they were loyal, for the right price. While Hongjoong and Namjoon had morals, this group of pirates were the exact definition of just that: they would do anything for the right price, besides hurting children. That was the one moral they had. In that way, they were not much different from the Ateez crew.
Hongjoong had not called on them often. He didn't trust them one bit, and not just because they could track anyone down thanks to their damn, super smart navigator. Hongjoong had to admit that the kid was even better than Yeosang.
Halfway across the sea, a man, or more like a child of only seventeen, stepped forward and stopped next to his captain. His turquoise blue hair would've been a big beacon on a regular brown ship but on this ship, it blended in with the amount of bursts of color."Are you sure you want to be doing this? We can always turn back" The younger stated.
"Of course, I'm sure. Remember, the right price" The Captain nodded.
"No price is worth betraying our friends" The first mate argued. He had been somewhat surprised when he was made first mate, after all there was four other guys older than him that could have done it as well. But it made sense why he was chosen. He was the captain's little brother and they had grown up together. Who else would have been a better choice than family?
"They are not our friends. Remember that and besides, with this bounty on them, we'll be rich. We can settle down" Another kid stepped onto the helm, walking forward. He was much taller with his black hair tied up. He was the tallest on the ship and he used it to his advantage.
"He's right. If we do this, we won't have to keep running around and chasing bounties. We can settle down, don't you want that?" The Captain turned his first mate to face him. The other five crew members were working silently below them.
"Of course I do! I just don't want to hurt them. Woo is a good friend to me, they all are" The kid argued. The whole crew knew that but their first mate was going to have to decide what was more important: the good of his crew and his family, or protecting his friends.
"Hey, Captain! I see them!" Someone yelled from the crow's nest and the captain turned to look at his first crewmate.
"Thank you Ji!" He waved back and adjusted their course. Everyone prepared to lay claim to their allies' ship. They had to remind themselves what they were doing this for, for the money and for their crew. They had no allies, despite what some people might believe about the crew.

"Joong, there's a ship approaching in the distance!" Yeosang turned from the crow's nest and looked at Hongjoong."Let me see" The Captain held his hand out, waiting for the telescope to be dropped into his hand. It was something that him and Yeosang had practiced a lot since the younger joined the crew. Hongjoong needed to be able to see what Yeosang was seeing without wasting the time for him to climb up to Yeosang or for Yeosang to climb down to him. The golden tube landed safely in his hand and Hongjoong slid it apart, holding it up to his eye.
"Damnit! Yeosang, get down here. Everyone get ready, your not going to like this" Hongjoong yelled. Everyone was there in an instant, forming their defenses instantly like they had practiced for this. They had not, in fact, practiced at all. Seongwha was handed the little gold utensil and used it.
"What is that? I've never seen that flag before" Seongwha wondered, unsheathing his sword. San pulled out his own and Yeosang secured a long coil of chain around the handle of his sword. He could easily swing it around without it being yanked away. Seongwha admired his cousin's choice of weapon, but he was more proud that Yeosand had made it himself, with the help of Yunho and Jongho. San's sword was curved a little, used for slicing more than stabbing. Wooyoung's two swords had a slight hook on the end and Seongwha had never asked what that was for because he wasn't sure he wanted to know, especially given Wooyoung's past with killing people. It was better that Seongwha didn't know.
"That, my dear crew, is the Miroh. The most pirates of pirates. If you ever see those guys, it's better to turn around and try to get away" Hongjoong explained.
"Why?" Yeosang was the one to ask this time.
"Because they don't seek out allies or friends, they seek out bounties" Jongho added. Hongjoong drew his own sword.
"Take a wild guess what they're here for" He turned slightly, looking at Seongwha, Yeosang, Mingi and San. All four of them tensed up, aware that they had led the other crew straight to their friends.
