"Soo...what's your name?" Wooyoung wondered, sitting down next to one of the older pirates, who only gave him a dirty look and ignored him.
"Okay rude much" Wooyoung scoffed. The other guy sighed, annoyed.
"Mingyu" He said and that was it. Wooyoung nodded; this was awkward.
"Mingyu, let's go!" Someone yelled, a lot shorter than anyone else on the ship. Mingyu nodded, sheathing his sword again and walking off. Wooyoung watched him, frustrated. It wouldn't hurt for them to have allies with these guys but the Sector 17 crew was making it hard.
"You okay?" Yeosang wondered, sitting down.
"I don't like these guys. They give me the creeps" Wooyoung admitted.
"Yeah but it's only temporary. We'll be out of here soon" Yeosang reminded him. Wooyoung knew that but it didn't make things easier. They were still probably a week from the closest island and nothing was going well.
On the second day, a fight broke out. Mingi tripped and bumped into one of the older guys.
"Hey, watch it!" The taller pirate pushed him back. Mingi caught his balance and tried to walk away.
"I'm talking to you!" The kid huffed.
"And I'm minding my business!" Mingi retorted, tired of being picked on. Wooyoung walked over, cracking his knuckles. San was right behind him with his arms crossed and a glare on his face. Yunho stopped what he was doing and watched but didn't join them until much later. They were extremely outnumbered and out matched in strength. Especially when a certain member of the 17 crew walked over with chains wrapped around his knuckles. San pulled Wooyoung back, scared.
"What is going on?!" Cheol, Hongjoong and Seongwha walked out of the Captain's quarters/office looking furious.
"He bumped into me and didn't apologize!" The taller kid, Wooyoung was sure his name was Minghao or something, pointed at Mingi.
"You pushed him! He was minding his business but you started it" Yeosang surprisingly piped in. Minghao took a step towards him but Seungcheol interrupted again.
"That is enough!" He yelled, silencing everyone. Hongjoong was giving his crew a stern glare as well and they all backed off, standing in a straight line while the 17 crew was scattered in a close knot circle.
"Jun, put the chains down" Cheol ordered. Jun huffed and unwrapped the chains from around his fists, tossing them to the side. Their fun was ruined. Wooyoung knew then that these guys were crazy. Not the craziest, that was either the Todoro crew or the Carnival kids (take a guess who this one is!!!), but definitely up there.
"My crew with me. Now" Seungcheol ordered. No one moved. "NOW!" The crew jumped a little and scurried off leaving the Ateez six behind. Hongjoong glared at the six boys below him before walking off. Seongwha shook his head and followed, leaving all six feeling guilty.
Much later, the 17 crew walked back out looking properly chastised and a little sore.
"Did we get you guys in trouble?" Yeosang questioned.
"Nah, we did that ourselves. We should have been more welcoming to you guys" The oldest, besides Cheol, answered.
"That's alright. We did kind of crash into your ship" Jongho admitted. Jeonghan laughed and nodded.
"Well still, can we start over? I'm Jeonghan, there's Woozi, watch out for him, and Joshua. We're twins. You've met Jun, Mingyu and Minghao. There's Seungkwan and Vernon. That's Dino, and Wonwoo. And then Dokyeom and Hoshi. And Seungcheol is our captain. I'm the first mate" Jeonghan listed off. Everyone waved as he said their name.
"There's a lot of you" San pointed out. He wasn't scared just a little uneasy about being outnumbered.
"Yeah there is. So don't try anything because you won't win" Jeonghan's smile slipped.
"Jeonghan!" Cheol snapped from above them, having heard the whole conversation.
"I'm kidding!" Jeonghan laughed, smiling again but it was a little scarier this time. One thing was for sure: the younger members of the Ateez crew were more than relieved when they parted ways with the Sector 17 crew. And Hongjoong and Seungcheol did promise each other to not fight if they happened to meet again. Another ally was gained.
