The sound of Tempo by Exo rang through my ears meaning it was time to wake up. I find it better to set my alarm to a song I like rather than those screeching sounds. It makes me want to get up and start my day, not curl up in my duvet and die.
Teenagers do not set alarms for the summer, but this one does. I do not want to be lazy and sleep in late all the time, I want to make the most of my summer.
Since I went to bed early, I had time to think about Susannah's offer to be a debutante. Colour me intrigued; an opportunity arises to boost my confidence, act sophisticated, and could add weight to my university applications. I wasn't going to do anything else this summer apart from write songs and eat red velvet cake, besides, the ball sounds like so much fun.
I've made up my mind.
I got out of bed and went to the shared desk in mine and Josie's room to see debutante invitation staring at me, waiting for an answer.
"Here goes nothing," I mumbled before taking a black pen from my pencil case and checking the accept box. "I hope I don't regret this."
I changed into a straight neck cami top with a denim A-line skirt. My shoes were white with metallic rose gold accents and I left my hair down with two gold clips pinning the left side back.
