Jeremiah and Belly went to pick up Taylor, Belly's best friend, all while Jeremiah was teaching her how to drive. Our Mum's went out with my brother and sister leaving me to make Belly's birthday cake, not that I minded. I love to bake, I love a hobby that I can eat.

I walked to the store to get some last minute ingredients and bumped into Conrad returning home from being with Cleveland. When we got home, he was about to go to his room to kill time before going back to see Cleveland for an interview, but I stopped him.

Understanding he did not want to talk about this morning, I enlisted his help with the cake. An hour later, the cake was baked, but I let it cool down before frosting and decorating.

"I'm tempted to take this to my room and eat it all for myself," I said whilst carefully smoothing the icing on the sides. "And I'll do it shamelessly too."

"You would not dare make someone else upset on purpose, you're too kind for that," Conrad said licking the spare icing from the bowl.

"You'll get sick eating that."

"You just put a tonne on that cake," he pointed out.

"I meant eating it on it's own. Be helpful and start washing the dishes," he gave me a look that said I don't want to, so I tilted my head and pouted, "please?" He got up from his seat holding the bowl and spoon, then went to the sink with a sarcastic smile. "Thank you."

After a while, the cake was done and in the fridge, and the dishes were washed. We decided to walk round the back to the pool where our friends were. We were randomly comparing hand sizes which led to me holding our hands together to see the difference. Conrad kept looking at me and smiling.

My attention was pulled from our hands when Steven called out to us. "Aye, Abs where you been?."

The group in pool turned to Conrad and I as we neared.

"I was baking," I answered, "it took longer than expected because someone," I glared at Conrad, "kept eating the icing."

"I can't help that you make it taste so good," He defended.
