Getting ready for the ball was awkward at first

Getting ready for the ball was awkward at first. Belly was sitting next to Nicole, I was on her other side next to Lucia. Hearing Belly and Nicole's conversation was uncomfortable, especially when Nicole called her a fuck-girl from being with Cameron, then Conrad and now Jeremiah.

I wouldn't go as far and call her that word, but she has been in between the brothers for a bit.

She told me about the chat her and Steven had before I arrived at the car, and I had to agree when he said this affects us all if things go bad. I know I had my moment with Conrad , but that was only him, not both brothers. If she doesn't make things clear, it will ruin our dynamic as well a sibling relationship.

Belly was sure Jeremiah was the one she wanted, not Conrad, so I left it as that. She made up her mind, no need to worry.

Once the awkward chat was over Belly and I had fun getting ready together, we took videos and photos. This is an experience we'll probably never do together again, so I wanted to capture as much as I could.

I looked at myself in the full length mirror in awe, I have never looked this beautiful before. I recognised myself, but at the same time, I didn't. This was a new side of side of myself, the confident Abby who didn't wait for things to happen, she made them happen.

"Wow, Abby," Belly said as I looked at her through the mirror, "You look amazing."

I turned to face her and smiled, "thank you. And you look absolutely stunning."

"Thank you. I'm getting nervous now," she said.

I held her hands, "no, stop. Don't do that. We are so close to finishing this. Once you see Jeremiah, all that anxiety will melt away."

She nodded, "Yeah, okay. I'm so glad here."

We shared a hug then went to our places in the line. The words from the host blurred into one as I was trying to focus on my heart beat.

I was up next.

I gripped the flowers in my hands to steady myself, but when I looked up across from me, I saw Callum smiling, and all my stress was gone. I smiled nervously in response and then my name was called.
