We were pulling the carriage. The boys sere panting, while I was having little to no trouble. It's not the first time I've ran long distances. Jay mocked Kai. "Sign me up!" He said in a falsetto.

"Way to go sparkplug."

"I sense this is some strange form of team building."

"Just keep pulling. We have a long way to go."

"So, where did sensei find you four?" Kai asked, not wanting to pull in silence.

"Let's just say if it wasn't for sensei wu, I don't think we would ever be seen together. I was testing my limits mountain climbing with no gear. I made it to the top, and sensei was there, waiting for me."

"I was testing my invention of personal wings. I crashed through a billboard, and sensei was on the other side." I actually didn't know this about the guys, so I was listening intently.

"And I was testing myself, meditating at the bottom of a frozen lake. I turned, and sensei was down there with me. I almost drowned from the shock." I giggled.

"Y/n?"

"Oh.. uh, mines really dumb compared to all yours." I said, but they waited for me to go on. "My earliest memory is me at five years old, standing outside the monastery doors with Abby; my stuffed bear. I didn't know what was going on and was honestly really scared. Sensei opened the door, and was shocked to see a little girl there, but he took me in anyways. We couldn't find my parents, so he made me his ward and raised me from that day on. Sensei's the closest thing I have to a father, and so when he offered me the option of being a ninja, I jumped at the chance to help others like he helped me." I explained. The guys didn't know this either. We had never talked about how we were found. Jay chuckled.

"I always wondered why you were his oldest student. How old were you when you started to train?"

"About ten." Jay sputtered.

"You've been training for a decade?!"

"... Yeah?"

"No wonder you're so far ahead of us-"

"Stop!" Sensei called out. We went the rest of the way on foot. "The caves of despair." He said ominously. "Samukai must be close to unearthing the scythe of quakes. Remember, do not use the weapon, for it's power-"

"Is too great for us to handle. Yeah, we know." I said, not wanting to hear the same thing over and over again. He sighed as Jay began to speak.

"Cole, you got a plan?"

"Sure do. First, we'll lower ourselves down the ledge, then we-"

"Guys? Kai's gone." I mention, and they look at me.

"What do you mean he's gone?!"

"I mean, he's not here! Don't give me that look!" The boys in question were giving me looks that said they were not impressed.

"Where is he then?"

"Probably down there if I had to guess." Just on que, we saw a flash of red behind some rocks, and Cole groaned.

"Let's just go." I nod as we all jump into action.

Catching up with Kai was, admittedly very fun. We hid under a minecart, beat up a skullkin warrior that spotted Kai, clung to some rails like monkey bars, and jumped up a watch tower, where Jay promptly smacked Kai. "What's the matter with you?!" He whisper shouted. Kai hushed him and pointed at the map.

The upside-down map.

"It's upside-down! They're digging in the wrong spot!"

"The golden weapon is near." Zane said as he sent a tied shuriken to grab the map. Kai took one look at it, and was off again.
