Does Power Corrupt? Or does it amplify what’s already there? I Believe in the 2nd option. I Believe power Can corrupt, But Just Because you give someone power doesn’t mean they’ll use it for bad. If you give a Good person Power, then it can be used for good. Sometimes It Empowers them to Do a lot more good then they could Otherwise. Some heroes are Born, others are made. Heroes come to be in many ways…
“Nat, time to wake up.” My Mom says. “Wouldn’t want to be late for school on your Birthday.” She adds. I Get up. And Get ready. On the way to school the Radio Talks about Steel-Man. “It’s been 12 years since the Disappearance of New Soaros’s Hero, Steel-Man. Many Question if he is dead. Since his Disappearance The SuperHuman Crime Rate has Skyrocketed. Leaving many to question If We should Even allow SuperHumans to Live with Normal Humans. Or if we should test for them, and Lock them up. Steel-Man And The Alliance were the Only Heroes we’ve seen. And After the death of Alliance Members, and Disappearance of Steel-Man, People seem to think that Heroes won’t return.” My Mom turns off the radio. I walk into school. I See Mia, and Eva. Mia smiles, and runs up to me. Her eyes A Dark sky Blue. "So, you got any plans?" She asks. "No, not really. Maybe go out for dinner at that new pizza place." I responded. We've been friends for a couple years now, and there's always been something different about her. She makes me feel like everything will be ok. I feel safe around her. The way she laughs, Smiles, the way She Can somehow always make me feel better, she's one of the most amazing people I've ever known. After school, I am walking home. A Roaring, crackling sound gets closer. I look up. A Meteor, consumed by fire, heading towards the city. Shit, Mia lives over there. I start running. My feet move before I even think about what I'm doing. I find the meteor glowing a bright blue. Something About it pulls me in. I walk towards it, without even thinking. I put my hand on it. The blue energy surrounds my body, like a bright blue aura, before seemingly being absorbed into my skin. I see Stars, Suns much like our own, but different. I see spaceships, and a planet exploding. I woke up. I must've been lucky when I face planted because I didn't feel any scratches or blood. Shit it's dark out, mom's gonna kill me for being out this late without letting her know. I look over at my watch. The metal has melted, but my Arm is fine. "What the hell!? That meteor must've had some kind of space drug inside of it. Oh God am I losing my mind? Surely if it melted my watch, it would've hurt, or even burned my arm." I say, grasping for some logical explanation. People with powers aren't exactly uncommon, but it's also something that tends to come with murderous tendencies. I pull my phone out of my pocket. I checked the time, before seeing I got texts from mom. My phone then dies. I swear this thing had at least 30%. I run home, knowing that my mom is going to be worried. I open the door, it's silent, and dark. "You should've told me you were going to be out late." My mom says. "Sorry, I was with Mia. My phone must've died. Sorry" I say. If she knew I was 5 feet away from a Giant blue glowing space rock, I think she would put a tracker on me. "Just be glad it's late and your birthday. I don't have the energy to talk to you much about this. Just make sure to try to let me know if you plan to go out with your friends. And try to get some sleep" she says. I walk upstairs to my room, and try to sleep.
