Becky remembered the ID card of the press she worked as a field worker during her college internship. She immediately rushed to her cupboard to search for that.

Simultaneously she called Irin to look for her ID card too as they did the internship together.

Luckily they both had the ID card with them. Irin was initially confused when Becky asked her to look for the ID card but she knows Becky very well.

Trrringg.....

Irin's phone was ringing nonstop.

I: hello, what the hell Bec?

B: have you found the card? You haven't said anything?

I: yes yes. I have it with me. What do you want now?

B: Thank God. I'm going to the park. Sam will be waiting for me. I have something more important to talk to her today. Be ready. Come to the park when I call you. Okay?

I: Oww.. Oww.. slow down girl. Are you out of your mind? Do you know what's happening outside? There are protesters all over the city who don't speak about the police. I don't think it is possible Bec.

B: I know Irin. that's why I asked to search for the card. Have it with you. I'm taking mine with me. I think I can manage. But I don't feel right Irin, some gut feeling telling me something's going to be wrong.

I: Bec I'm worried. Is everything okay between you two?

B: Irin I don't think I have time to talk. I call you later.

I: still I don't think going out now is a good idea Bec. But stay in touch.

Becky ended the call. She took a black cotton shirt and an olive green lycra pant and rushed to her car with the ID card.

Becky reached the park in 1 hour she had to answer every check post. She managed to show the ID card and claimed herself working in the Press. That worked fine everywhere.

Her heart went irregular when she entered the park. Every step closer to Sam was hard for her.

4, February

She saw Sam sitting on a stone bench. Even though she had come this far to meet her after seeing Sam sitting calmly she felt a fit of anger consuming her. Becky knew that was not the right time to argue yesterday's incident.

She approached the bench and sat beside Sam leaving some space in between them.

Sam didn't speak a word she took a cup from her bag and gave it to Becky.

Becky's brows knit seeing what was in the cup.

"There were no shops outside. How did you manage to get milk tea for me?", Becky asked but got the cup from her as she didn't have anything for breakfast.

As she started sipping the drink she looked Sam from head to toe. That's when she noticed Sam wearing an executive suit. Black color Becky has never seen her in a costume like this before. Sam looked so different her face was cold and she looked more rigid.

Once Becky finished the cup she threw it down.

Becky we need to end things Sam said with contained emotions.

It took a couple of minutes for Becky to process the words that came from Sam's mouth.

"Say that again", Becky said.

Sam saw Becky's fist going white.

"You heard it right. There is nothing you can do about us neither me", Sam was still rigid.

Becky didn't know what to say or where to start. She knows something wrong with her. Her vision was blurred, and she felt everything around her swirling but she didn't show any sign. She held the bench tightly and tried to sit still. All her struggles didn't go unnoticed by Sam.

"I know Becky, how hard it is for you to process whatever I say. I know this day will come but I never expected it to be this soon. You should not feel bad for me Bec. I'm going somewhere, very far from you". Sam talked slowly word by word seeing Becky struggling to sit in a place.

"Sam stop... Stop talking. Something is wrong... I... I... need some water...", Becky started to rant. It was difficult for her to breathe. She felt her chest getting tight, dizzy eyes shutting automatically.

Sam scooted near her gently and pulled her to her lap gently.

"Shh... Calm down, Becky. You are going to be alright. Everything is going to be normal like the good old days".

With her blurring business, Bec saw Sam crying. The tears rolled down from Sam's eyes and dropped onto her face.

"Sam... Sam... What's happening?", Becky's tongue went dry.

Sam started to caress Becky's cheeks.

"Valium 50mg. It was a bit higher dose for you but I had no other option, Becky. I don't know how to break this to you. You... You deserve someone better... Not me...", Sam's voice broke. She cried her heart out with Becky lying on her lap.

"Is it the milk tea?", Becky's eyes widened.

Sam nodded with tears rolling down her eyes.

"Sam, please... Don't do this... Don't leave me...",  Becky kept on repeating the three phrases again and again.

Sam kept on crying.

"Sleep Bec... Your life will be good when you wake up from sleep".

"Sam... don't leave me.." please

"Becky, I love you the most. I can never love someone like you. Remember one thing everything can go wrong but my love for you is true. Don't try to find me. Don't come behind me. Try to move on. I know you'll find someone who deserves you". Sam talked in between tears.

Becky could not speak a word she felt her body giving up. With the little amount of strength left she held Sam's arm tightly. Her eyes pleading with her girlfriend.

Sam crying her heart out was the last sight of Becky before waking up from a hospital bed.

Her eyes buttoned to the digital clock in front of her, which showed the date and time.

Date: 6 February.
