Irin and Richie shared everything with Becky when they returned home from the hospital. Anne had already eaten dinner and gone to sleep. Becky was thrilled about the news, and Irin made sure to mention what Faye had said before they left.
Becky immediately agreed to be there for Anne, wishing to support her constantly. Friend, who worked at the same hospital, also agreed to join them whenever she had time between her shifts.
"My shift starts at 7 tomorrow morning, so I'll meet you there. I’ll be done in the afternoon, and we can go somewhere for lunch," Friend suggested, and everyone consented.
That night, everyone went to bed with shared hopes for a good morning.

..Richie managed to take everyone, including Becky, to the hospital by 9 am. Out of everyone, Becky was the only one who hadn’t had breakfast.
The hospital looked different that day, with decorations everywhere to welcome the new head of the hospital.
“WELCOME DR. FREEN CHANKIMHA,” read every large banner on the hospital premises.
“Is there something special today? Why is the hospital so noisy?” Becky asked.
“For God's sake, Becky, we told you yesterday that the CEO's daughter is taking charge today. They are having a welcome event at the hospital,” Irin replied with a sigh. Unlike other days, Richie had to wait longer than usual to park his car.
When they arrived and checked in at the main reception, they were escorted to a large room. They were asked to sit there until the CEO returned. The room resembled a lounge, complete with a spacious restroom and a small kitchen.
Richie noticed the cookies and coffee machine on the kitchen counter. “Becky, there are cookies and coffee here. Do you want some?” he asked.
“No, Richie, I don't feel like eating,” Becky replied.
“We are Anne's parents; we are calm, why do you look stressed?” Irin inquired.
“It’s nothing; it’s just about the surgery, recovery, etc. That's all,” Becky said, though it wasn't the whole truth. Since she woke up, her heart had been racing unusually. She sensed that something wasn’t right but decided to go along with Irin and Richie.
Despite her palpitations, Becky managed to stay calm. It was almost 10, but there were still no signs of the doctor’s arrival. Becky received a call from Friend, who said she was on her way. Within minutes, Friend entered the room. She quickly noticed Becky’s unusual tension and signed to Irin, asking what was wrong.
“Becky, have you eaten anything?” Friend asked.
“No, I'm okay; I just don’t feel like eating,” Becky responded, uninterested.
“Come on, Becky. Let’s grab something to eat or drink and come back. Richie can call us if the doctor arrives. We can get some fresh air until then,” Friend said gently as she pulled Becky from her chair.
Becky realized that Friend was right; she needed a short walk and some fresh air.
“Okay, let’s go.” Becky stood up, leaving her bag and cane on the chair, and took Friend’s hand.
Thank you.
