Where Have You Gone

After the kissing encounter, Becky didn't receive any messages from Sam on that day. Becky remembered insisting Sam text her soon after reaching home.

She dialed her number which directly went to the voice mail, and Becky got suspicious. She was afraid that something had happened to Sam. She knew the cab company so she dialed the customer care and asked about Sam's trip completion.

They said that the driver had dropped Sam at her destination within the time. Becky suddenly got an idea and asked the place where the driver dropped her but the company refused to give her the details of their customers.

Becky thanked the person and called Irin.

"Becky relax. Her phone must have died or she must have not noticed. She must be tired and dozed off early", Irin said calmly

Becky nodded because there were possibilities for Sam to fall asleep soon. After all, she's been working hard for the past few days for the concert so she kept calm and waited for Sam to call her back.

Day 1: No calls or messages from Sam

Day 2: no calls or messages from Sam

Day 3: Still the same

Day 5: No signs of Sam

Becky's patience has gone so long. She couldn't function without Sam, her friend tried their level best to calm her down but everything went in vain. Becky went to every hospital in the city to see whether Sam was there. Becky thought something bad had happened to her. Irin felt poor seeing Becky in this state she never left her side.

It's been five days since Becky hadn't had any food. The gang has told them that they have a new big-scale project so Becky wouldn't be coming home for some time. That reason helped them a bit.

Irin saw Becky's body giving up she looked pale and dehydrated. Becky was talking to rest in her office room. Irin and Nop went to meet someone regarding their upcoming project but something thing was odd. Irin couldn't concentrate on the meeting. She asked Nop to continue the meeting and went back to the office to check on Becky

Irin entered the room she saw Becky lying on the bed. She went near her and turned Becky to her side, she gasped seeing Becky fully drenched in sweat and unconscious. She immediately called the other working in the other cabin. Becky was rushed to the hospital. She was severely starved and dehydrated.

Irin informed Richie about the event and asked him not to tell anyone at home. Richie came to the hospital as soon as possible and Becky was admitted and treated for her medical issues.

It's been a whole week since Sam hasn't contacted Becky.

On the eighth day, Becky was discharged from the hospital. She never spoke a word to anyone not even to Irin.

"I'll take her home with me", Richie said flatly

"Are you out of your mind? What will you say to your mom and dad? We've told them that Becky has gone for outdoor shooting. How will you explain this to them?", Irin raised her voice

Irin had a point. Her parents cannot see her in this state.

"I'll take her to my home. You come and see her there. I'll take good care of her". Irin said to Richie rubbing his shoulder.

"Becky, are you okay going with Irin? Or do you want me to take you with me to our house?", Richie wanted to make sure she was okay with Irin's decision

*No Richie, I'll go with Irin". Becky kept quiet after saying that.

The drive back home was deafening silent. Not Becky or Irin spoke a word. Irin lived in a condo near their office which had a master bedroom and a small guest bedroom. Becky used to stay in the guest room when they had to work all night so Irin has already prepared the room for her. The room was small and cozy. Due to travel and tiredness, Becky slept soon. She never knew Irin had mixed a sleeping pill with her regular medication.

Irin before leaving the hospital requested the doctors to prescribe sleeping pills for Becky, she knew Becky would wake up all night thinking about sak which was going to cause no good for her and Sam. After Becky slept, Irin left the room.

Irin was arranging her things from the bag when she noticed Becky's phone was in her back. Becky never asked for her phone, the phone was switched off due to no charge. Irin plugged in to charge and switched on the phone.

Soon after she got the notification for missed calls from Sam probably an hour ago. Irin doesn't know why she feels but she doesn't want to jump directly into conclusions. She called Sam from her phone, she waited for the call to be answered.

"Hello, Irin" Sam's voice was tired.

"Sam.. Sam, where are you? What happened to you? Are you alright? Becky was worried about you,  we all were worried", Irin was shooting question after question.

"Mm... I had some personal emergency to take care of. How... How is Becky? Her phone was switched off",  Sam swallowed half of her words.

"I can understand your situation but... but you should've let her know at least through a text. I'm no one to give advice but you should've done that", Irin sighed.

"I'm sorry Irin. Where is Becky now? Is he angry with me?", Sam asked softly

"I don't know what to say. She is with me now. She... She was hospitalized for the past three days".

"What... What happened to her??", Sam asked even before Irin finished her sentence.

Irin told her everything happened in the last week. Sam couldn't imagine what Becky had gone through without her. Tears rolled out of her eyes without control.

"Can I see her now? Please", Sam pleaded

"Sam, I gave her a sleeping pill. She is sleeping now. I'll send you my location, come early in the morning. I'm going to fix a shooting location with Mind and Nop so I'll have to leave early tomorrow and we won't be back till night. I hope that will allow you two to settle whatever you have in between", Irin finished in one breath.

"Thanks a lot, Irin. Becky is so lucky to have a friend like you. I wish I had someone like you as my friend".

"Sam, you are my friend too. You are one among us. Now sleep tight cause you'll have to wake up early to get here".

"Ok Good night", Sam said and cut the call.

Maa, what am I going to do? Becky is suffering because of me. I'm deeply and madly in love with her but I can never be the person she wants.

I've decided Maa. I'm going to end things with her. She deserves someone better than me. I'm disgusting mom.

.....................

If she comes to know my real life she would probably throw me out of her life forever. It's hurting a lot more than I think. Please Maa, help me. Sam cried uncontrollably

Her mom kept smiling as calmly as a gentle breeze in a photo frame that was hanging on the wall in front of Sam.
