Where Have You Gone

Chapter 6️⃣

In the evening at Becky's house, she was given an unprecedented welcome.  Irin has broadcasted everything that happened in the food court to her family without filtering the details.

Everyone in the house is so happy. Their faces were so bright and blooming. Everyone surrounded her hugged with love. Her mom shook her hand and pinched her chin saying "Don't mess up"

Becky was not expecting such a welcome from her family. She was stunned. Even Richie, who always fights was very happy for her.

"Becky -Sam. The name match is amazing". Her grandmother expressed her happiness.

Their happiness seemed a bit too much for Becky because she still didn't know what Sam thought about her. Her family member's reaction only increased the pressure on her

Everyone in the house ate dinner at the same time. The six people were sitting at the dining table, happily talking and laughing while eating, Becky finally opened her mouth unable to contain the pressure in her mind.

"I feel like you're overjoyed. I still don't know her stand"

When she said that, everyone's faces suddenly changed. Everyone looked at Becky with confused lines on their faces.

"Come on, no one will say no to you", Richie ruffled her hair.

Becky felt a relief.

"What's the matter?", Tell me asked Richie

"I don't know anything about her, she also doesn't know anything about me but I have confessed my feelings to her. I don't think that I would say my love in such a situation. That's a bit of a shock to me".

"Take her out somewhere, buy anything she asks without hesitation, treat her well and the most important thing is to earn her trust", Richie advised her.

The rest of the dinner went in peace. Becky bid good night to her parents and Richie and went to her room. The night was so silent that she couldn't think of anything other than Sam. She remembered saving Sam's number on her mobile. She took out her phone after minutes of hesitation Becky dialled her number.

Trrrringgg.... Trrrringgg..

No one picked up the call. She tried once again and now it was a male who answered the call.

"Hello... Mmm.. is Sam there?", I need to speak with her

'May I know who I am speaking to? and why do you want to speak with my wife?", The person asked in a gentle tone.

What!!! Sam is married!?!?

Becky suddenly ended the call and fell into her mattress.
She couldn't imagine that Sam was married to someone. She felt betrayed, all her hate towards love had already started to consume her.

How did I not notice any signs of marriage? Becky constantly played the visuals of Sam in her mind but nothing seemed to be unusual. Sam didn't mention that she has a husband but she told about her family.

Is it real? Is she married? Oh my god!

Becky held her head with both hands. She was tossing and turning on the bed the whole night she couldn't sleep a bit. She initially thought of discussing this with Irin but she knew it would be a bad idea as Irin always says every secret to Richie.

The next day morning Becky woke up with baggy red eyes. Her mom and Richie thought that she would have spent the whole night talking to Sam. Becky didn't want to discuss the issue with anyone in her house. She skipped her breakfast and went to her office directly.

Until lunch, Becky didn't come out of her room. She opened her laptop and kept on looking at it pretending like working seriously. No one disturbed her until lunchtime.

They went to the food court and got their regular order from their favorite outlets. Becky's eyes were scanning the whole food court for the presence of Sam.

Irin went to buy beverages for all of them.

Becky zoned out as soon as her food arrived. She was bickering with her food.

"Do you mind if I sit here?"

It was Sam's voice but Becky didn't seem to hear her. Nop nodded and asked Sam to sit near Becky. Mind who was sitting near the other side of Becky tried her level best to bring back Becky to reality without Sam noticing but her attempts went in vain. Finally, she had no patience and stomped Becky's feet under the table.

The sharp pain brought her back to reality. Becky was about to use cuss words against the person who stomped, Mind realized it and before Becky opened her mouth she shut her mouth with her right hand and eyed Becky to look to her other side.

When Becky turned to her other side she saw Sam watching all this drama with an amused smile.

Becky's face brightened instantly on seeing Sam sitting next to her but not so long, anger consumed her thoughts. Becky stood up from the table and left the place without a word.
