"Does this mean Rodriguez and Samantha deaths are linked?" Samuel asked curiously "It certainly seems possible," Detective D said, deep in thought. "But we don't have just enough evidence to say for sure. We need to keep digging. There's something here that doesn't quite add up. I just can't put my finger on it."
"It's a mystery", Samuel agreed. "And we're not going to solve it by standing here talking about it. We need to keep investigating, following every lead we have until we find the truth." "You're right," Detective D said, snapping out of his reverie. "Let's get to work". The two men set to work
*Another scene*
A man dressed in black cloak with a mask speaks loudly "I have killed two souls I deserve my reward you greedy spirit" The man's voice was filled with rage, his words tinged with desperation. "You promised me power, you said I would be rewarded for my sacrifices," he continued. "But you've given me nothing! You've cheated me! I want what I'm owed!"
The man's voice was becoming more and more agitated, and it was clear that he was on the verge of losing control. "You can't keep me waiting any longer!" he shouted, his face contorted with anger. "I want what I'm owed!"
The man's words echoed through the empty room, filling it with a sense of menace ,the voice spoked ,The man's eyes widened as he heard the voice. He recognized it from his dreams, the same voice that had been tempting him with promises of power and wealth since he was a kid.
The voice was low and menacing, and it sent a chill down the man's spine. "I am the one who will give you what you desire," it said, its tone hypnotic and alluring. "All you have to do is bring me the souls I crave. There are others out there who will make perfect offerings. You must find them for me." "But" the man's voice seized.
*Detective met with Doctor Marcelo, Mystic shadow town's psychiatrist*
Detective D sat across from Dr. Marcelo in his office, studying the man's face for any sign of deception. "Dr. Marcelo, I need to ask you some questions about, Miss Samantha, John and some other patients of yours" Detective D spoked, keeping his voice calm and measured. "In particular, I need to know if any of them have spoken about hearing a mysterious voice, we had a mysterious lead about mysterious activities occuring here ."
Dr. Marcelo's eyes widened in surprise. "A voice?" he asked, his brow furrowing. "What kind of voice?"
Detective D leaned forward, his gaze intense. "We heard there is a voice that promised them rewards in exchange for sacrifices", he stopped ,watching Dr Marcelo movement "Where on earth did you heard that from" he began to shake, has he remembers a particular man threatening him that, if anyone ever asked about his patients talking about a voice " he should keep mute or he becomes the next victim, Dr. Marcelo's hands trembled as he recalled the man's threat. "I can't tell you anything," he said, his voice shaking. "I'm sorry, but I can't."
"Please, Dr. Marcelo," Detective D pleaded. "This could be related to a series of murders and your information could be vital to the investigation. I understand you're scared, but I promise that we'll do everything we can to protect you."
Dr. Marcelo looked conflicted, his eyes darting around the room. Finally, he let out a heavy sigh. "Okay," he said, his voice " some mysterious fellow came in here some weeks ago immediately three patients were brought to me "shouting Fredrickson will kill us", "Fredrickson?" Detective D asked, his brow furrowed. "That's an unusual name. Can you tell me more about those patient?"
Dr. Marcelo nodded, though he still looked nervous. "One of the patient is young man, in his late thirties," he said, his voice wavering. "He was brought in by his family, who said he'd been acting strangely for weeks. They said he'd been talking to someone they couldn't see, and that he kept ranting about some kind of reward he was owed for a deal."
Detective D's mind was racing, trying to connect the pieces of the puzzles "Go on " Detective D says "According to the family, the patient, Edward said that this voice he was hearing promised him power and wealth in exchange for a deal," Detective D continued, his eyes intent on Dr. Marcelo.
"And just a few days after he was admitted, three other patients began to exhibit similar symptoms. All of them were claiming that someone named Fredrickson would kill them". It's as if they were all experiencing the same delusion.""It's terrifying, isn't it?" Dr. Marcelo said, his eyes wide with fear.
Detective D and Samuel thanked Dr Marcelo has they exit his office, Detective D went to his office immediately trying to understand his interraction with Dr Marcelo, Samuel arrived "I think you need to see this ,It John, he escaped the psyciatrist hospital and he is currently shouting at the market square"
"Impossible" Detective D Said, has he dashed through the door rushing to market square "Spare my life Fredrickson, forgive me do not kill me, please I didn't do anything to you remember" John kept on shouting, A crowd had gathered around John, watching him with a mix of fear and fascination. Some people were looking at him like a new form of entertainment, while others were trying to calm him down. John continued to shout, his words growing more and more incoherent. He was clearly in a state of panic, and it was clear that he was in desperate need of help.
"This is bad," Detective D said, watching the scene unfold before him. "We need to get him back to the hospital and we need to figure out what's causing all this". "What do you think is going on?" Samuel asked, his brow furrowed."Wasn't this man paralyzed just before our eyes, wait did he just mentioned Fredrickson", "He did," Detective D said, his mind racing "And if I'm not mistaken, the patients at the hospital all mentioned Fredrickson, too. What if he's real? What if he's causing all of this somehow?"
Samuel shook his head in disbelief. "But how could one person cause so much chaos?" he asked. "It doesn't make any sense". "I know, but we can't ignore the facts," Detective D said. "There's clearly a connection here, and we need to figure out what it is."
"Where do we even begin?" Samuel asked. "For now let get John back to the hospital Samuel, l have to know who this Fredrickson man is" Detective D Said, "I'll get John back to the hospital," Samuel said, already moving toward the crowd. "Sir ,you should really focus on finding out who this Fredrickson guy is. You have to figure out what's going on here before things get any worse."
"You're right," Detective D said, his mind already turning over the possibilities. "I m going to start by talking to the families of the other patients. Maybe they know something we don't." "That's a good place to start," Samuel said, nodding in agreement. "Let's hope we can get some answers."
As they went their separate ways, both men knew this unlike the crime they have solved so far, it seems complicated, two murders, one without a drop of blood, insane patient chanting Fredrickson will kill us ,It was like something out of a horror movie, Detective D thought.
The pieces of the puzzle were starting to come together, but they didn't make sense. What kind of deal could these people have made? And who was this Fredrickson, and what was he capable of? As he continued to investigate, Detective D realized that there was more to this case than met the eye. As he met with different families all tangible note he could gain was there was something supernatural at play here, something beyond the realm of human understanding. He beginning to get curious of what he is up against.
