The Ballad of Livena SongStar

That Night

Livena slept soundly in her bed next to her husband when She were awoken by their daughter's cries. She then started coughing because of the smoke that was in the air.

She saw the fire in the hall and immediately woke up Andon. Andon quickly gets out of bed and tells her to get out of the house.

While He goes to get their daughter which made her look at him and say.

"No I go get her! Get..." Andon quickly goes to the closet and hands her a satchel and tells her. "No I go get her! Take this and get out of here!"

Livena takes the satchel with a confused look on her face and was about to say something to him. When Andon runs to get their daughter who is in the other room.

Livena goes to leave the house and avoids being crushed and burned by the falling debris. As soon as She got out of the house the front entrance collapsed.

And the sound of a window breaking on the second floor where Yuki's room is. Then She heard Andon's screams of pain as he got burned alive.

Livena screamed out his name and tried to get back inside the house. But were stopped by Gardon who held her back saying.

"No stop! You burn alive too!" She looks at him and says with a tearful look in her eyes. "I DON'T CARE I HAVE TO GET HIM OUT OF THERE!"

Gardon looks at her and says as he dragged her away from the house. "Its too late, He is already gone!"

Tears began to stream down her face as She kept hearing Andon's screams. She then broke down crying and fell to her knees and screamed out his name.

Gandon gently stroke her back and did his best to comfort her. Livena kept on crying and Gandon tried to take her into town.

And She were about to go with him but stopped when She noticed his hands. His hands were black with sooth and it had a very strange smell.

A smell She was very familiar with for it's the smell of Sulphor. A black coal like substance that is used to light fires in the stove and fireplaces.

Livena looked Gandon in the eyes and saw the look in his eyes. And She quickly realised it was him who started the fire and killed her family.

She quickly pulled away from him and says. "You... You did this..." Gandon looks at her and says with fake concern in his voice.

"What are You talking about? Livena are You feeling alright? Come now, let me take You to the town healer and..."

He tried to grab her but She backed away from him and says. "You... You murderer... You killed my husband... YOU KILLED MY CHILD!!!"

Gandon looks at her and says. "I did not kill Your family, Livena You are not well let me..." He tried to grab her again but She grabs his dagger and stabs him in the chest.

Gandon began to scream out in pain as Livena stabbed him over and over again. When She stabbed him one last time She started crying again.

She cried for the loved ones She lost and wanted them back so badly. Livena looked at the burning house as it began to collapse with a emotionless expression on her face.

She then turned to look at the satchel and went to see what was inside. She found a map, a medallion, a white cloak with the crest of the Songstar family on its back.

Livena took out the map and watched as blue light began to move and stopped. And began to hover over the Kingdom of Garvandia and started to gently twinkle like a star.

Then words started appearing at the centre of the map and said. "Follow the light and it will lead You to what You desire."

Livena stared at the words for a few seconds before it vanished. She sat there for a moment before putting the map back in the satchel.

And began to make her way to the kingdom in full sprint with a determined look on her face. Leaving behind the burning house and Garndon who She thought was dead at the time.
