Baz opened his mouth to say something, but he quickly closed it as he lost the words. Will looked at him and it was as if he could read his friend's mind.

"I know, you're confused. I am too..." The musician sat up in his bed and took one last look at the door before he turned back to Baz.

"I was...driving down the highway listening to my music and...some guy was suddenly in my path... I panicked and swerved off the road. He looked like Lewis and.... his clothes were all bloody. I didn't want to tell the doctors what actually happened because I would've sounded crazy."

Baz frowned upon the sight of the tears rolling down his friend's face and wiped them away with his own sleeve. The blond flinched, but grabbed Baz's shirt as he began breathing heavy. This must've been traumatizing for him.

"I didn't believe you guys...if I had just stayed there and listened to Lewis, I wouldn't be in this bed right now."

"Don't think about it. What matters is that you remember what happened. As soon as we get you home, we'll figure this all out."

Will nodded and wiped the new tears forming in his eyes. "I still owe Lewis an apology."

Baz chuckled and ruffled the older's hair.

"Understood, chief."

Will smiled and playfully pushed the younger male before mumbling a "fucking dork" under his breath.

The warm air from the heater hit Ryan and Lewis as soon as they entered the living room and they immediately felt at ease. Their self defense session was ended early due to the decrease in temperature outside and the fact that Lewis's hands were turning red along with his nose.

Ryan had joked about it at first—making Rudolph and "caught red handed" jokes, but overall, he was concerned for his boyfriend's health. He made him hot chocolate, got him his coziest blanket, and snuggled up with him to watch their favorite shows. Lewis was warm and happy.

He was confident now that he would be able to defend himself against Darko and actually wake up completely unharmed.

Ryan was extremely proud of him for trying something new and had promised earlier to keep training him for whatever was to come next.

They were okay.

Lewis's phone buzzed and a message was displayed on the now lit screen.

'I see you have an "ego problem." I'm willing to help you, but we'll need to meet up first. I'll be at the old coffee shop on fifth. Don't be a no-show.'

Looking at the name, the gamer saw that it was an unfamiliar username: SS_MT. He checked the profile and found that it was private. Whoever it was, they were obviously trying to remain anonymous. He showed his partner the text message and gave him a 'what do you think?' look. Ryan looked confused but took the phone from him with a keen intent.
