"You son of a bitch, let me go!" Lewis growled as he attempted to shove the dream demon away. A futile attempt, seeing as Darko's strength was clearly greater than his own.

"You'll pay for what you did to me, Lewis. I'm here to make you bleed. It's not the other way around."

Lewis could feel the sweat running down his face as Darko's eyes changed colors. A menacing blue and a dangerous looking red shown through his irises. The pupils were bleeding black, which filled Lewis with dread and made his heart rate quicken; He didn't know what was about to happen, but the giant smile on the alter ego's face told him that it wouldn't be good. He was in danger.

Giant claws were dragging along his pale skin and leaving long, deep red marks. Blood was trickling down Lewis's neck and soaking through both of the males' shirts; Lewis felt dizzy and the strength he was using to kick at Darko was quickly dissipating.

"What makes you so special, huh?" Darko asked as he dropped Lewis onto the ground like an empty soda can. The sound of his arm snapping filled the quiet air around them and Lewis's screams could've deafened a dog at that moment.

"You're pathetic, Lewis. Weak-minded and pathetic. You're dragging everyone down with you."

Lewis couldn't respond. Instead, he laid there in pain, breathing heavily as he clutched his broken arm.

"Heh, finishing you off will be easy." Darko chuckled as he licked the blood running down his fingers. His foot collided with the gamer's stomach and Lewis let out a weak yelp in response.

"Hey! Pick on someone your own size!" A familiar voice shouted as footsteps approached Darko.

The alter ego looked up, and laughed when he saw who it was. Ryan stood there with a baseball bat in his hand; blood was splattered on his face and soaked into his shirt as he held the bat tightly.

"Aww, look Lewie. Your boyfriend is here to save the day. Isn't that cute?"

"Let him go, freak. Before I kill you, too."

"Please. You wouldn't even kill a fly."

Ryan didn't flinch, and instead smiled at Darko, "Tell that to your little robot friend. I killed Glitchtrap, and now it's your turn."

"Tough little shit, aren't ya?"

Darko's smile was spread from cheek to cheek, wide and exaggerated. Kinda like the Cheshire Cat.

Ryan looked over at Lewis, and the look in his eyes was full of terror—full of tears. He didn't even hesitate to run over to him when he saw the blood soaking the collar of his shirt.

"Lewis, are you okay?!" He asked as he helped his boyfriend to his feet. The younger male didn't say anything, but pulled Ryan in for a tight hug, who returned it just as quick.

Lewis didn't notice the pain in his arm at that point or question why Ryan was in his dream. He just held onto him, praying hard that they'd make it back home.
