Greg remembered those words that jasper said right after blue's accident, rose quartz was still out there and they where looking for her. As steven and Connie sat at his home watching TV and worrying about blue, Greg went out to try and find where rose quartz was, his first stop was where she always was, the temple, the base of the crystal gems, it was a ginormous statue at the edge of beach city, it was closed off to all besides him.

He jumped over the now slightly broken gates and was met with rose, sitting alone at the steps, she was visibly sad. "Rose?", greg said, approaching her, not sure if it was the right moment, before she could say anything her pearl appeared from behind her, summoning her spear and flinching at greg. "It's ok, he's not one of them!", rose quartz called to her pearl, who embarrassingly put the weapon back in the gem in her head and sad down next to then both. "Rose, I was very worried about you, I know what happened", greg began, rose and her pearl looked at him shocked, "you do!?", the pearl exclaimed, "yes I saw the ships, they appeared right in front of us and captured a gem that looked like garnet," rose bowed her head, pearl whispered "that was ruby..." to herself ,"it was far from here in empire city", greg continued, "but I do remember one gem saying they're still looking for you".

"They got ruby and sapphire and must be sending them back to homeworld or doing all sorts of horrible things to them!", the pearl cried, standing up and pacing around the inside of the crystal gem's base "they could be sending more troops to look around earth for us, what do we do rose!?", "I...I don't know", rose replied, she was completely defeated sounding, Greg had never seen her like this, the pearl wasn't even sure if she had seen rose like this before. "Listen, rose, pearl, I'll keep a look out for you both, I'll tell you all I know, from what I Currently know they're far from here, but if I see them again I'll tell you", Greg promised to them, putting his hands on Rose's shoulders, the pearl didn't trust him but reluctantly agreed to his promise.

Greg walked home after that, acting like nothing had happened and he wasnt the ultimate double agent. when he opened the door he saw Steven and connie, they where still watching TV and trying to get their mind of blue, it wasn't working, Steven was still very worried it was very noticeable. "Oh hey dad, where did you go?", Steven asked his father, he suspected he was speaking to that rose, by following his father many times now he had discovered he was always hanging out with rose, it made him sick, he tried to hide the slight anger in his voice and his disgusted face as he realised he was right when reading his father's mind. "Oh I was just walking around, the weather is very nice today", Greg lied, it was obvious to steven who just frowned at his father, Connie was oblivious and not paying attention.

Suddenly, Connie's phone started to ring, she quickly muted the TV and picked it up, steven tried to listen in, thinking it could be about blue diamond, pearl also appeared from behind a corner to listen in. "Hey mom...oh you want to speak to steven...oh alright...we will be right there!", Connie hung up quickly after and gave Steven a serious look, "steven it's your mom, you can go and see her in the hospital now!", Steven was ecstatic, he quickly got ready, his mother had been all he was thinking about ever since she was taken to the hospital.

Steven and connie got there very quickly, they left before pearl or the other gems could even ask if they could come with them. Greg drove them but didn't come in the hospital, he drove away as soon as they entered the building. When they got in the hospital they where met by Connie's mother who took them to blue's room, "she was originally in this one", Connie's mother said, pointing to a closed off and destroyed room, "but a... incident happened, so I had to move her, I've been basically keeping her here as a secret, if anyone else here knew about her, who knows what they'd do".

Dr maheswaran opened the door to blue's room, she was laying in the bed and drawing. "Mum!", Steven yelled, running to her and hugging her tightly, "are you alright!?", he tried his best to fight back tears, he didn't want his powers to trigger and effect everyone. "Yeah, I'll probably leave soon, right dr maheswaran?", blue said, looking at priyanka, "I'm not sure, I still want to run some tests on you as you're an anomaly", she said, blue frowned at this and looked away, directing her attention to steven again.
