It was another miserable day in beach city, where cold rain covered the city for hours. "Not really the beach city we dreamed of" Greg laughed, sitting with his son by the window, both of them where watching the rain. "I miss Korea", Steven complained, "mum misses it too". "Come on cheer up, there's so many things you can still do", Greg said, trying to reassure Steven.
"Yeah! I'm the son of a diamond, this rain won't scare me ill go out!", Steven exclaimed, going to quickly put his shoes on, "I didn't mean go outside we can play a board game!", Greg replied, but Steven quickly ran up the stairs and to his mother. she was laying on the bed and drawing. "MUM!!!, wanna go outside with me???", Steven yelled, scaring blue, "why!?, its raining??" Blue said, pointing to the rain outside, "is a great diamond like yourself scared of the rain?" Steven sarcastically asked, "fine!" Blue sighed, getting off the bed.
As Steven and blue walked around the rainy beach city they ran into a boy screaming in a mascot costume shaped like fries as he was attacked by birds. "STEVEENNNNN HELP MEEEEEEEE!!!", the boy yelled from the costume, Steven quickly told the birds to go away and they obeyed him. "Seven you know this creature?", blue asked him. "Yes! This is peedee! His dad runs beach citywalk fries!" Steven exclaimed.
Beach citywalk fries is where steven usually got his fries and food for blue, the only food blue ever ate was potatoes. "Thank you for saving me!" Peedee said, pulling off the costume, "my dad keeps making me wear this thing, it's name is frybo" he said, throwing the frybo costume on the floor. "Can I have a go wearing it?" Steven asked, "of course, I'd love to get a break from wearing that thing". When Steven tried wearing the costume he was also attacked by birds wanting the fries on top of the mascot's head and quickly threw off the costume and ran away.
"Can I have a go?", blue asked, "what would I need to do as this frybo?". "Just try and make people eat fries, that's what my dad says" Peedee said, giving blue the costume, "fries? As in potatoes!" Blue asked, sounding excited, "erm yeah?" Peedee replied, sounding confused to how blue could ever be confused whether fries where potatoes or not.
Blue quickly kneeled down and put the costume over her. while under the costume she took off the long blue dress she was wearing so she could move in the suit better, she threw out the dress and steven quickly grabbed it, "don't lose that!" She told Steven, then she stood up, revealing her legs under the suit, she was wearing light blue crocs and had 4 long curly strands of white leg hair under her knees.
"You look great!" Peedee said, as blue stood up and span around in the costume, "do a little dance!" Steven said, blue quickly obeyed the command and began to start violently irish dancing and then doing the choreography of some of her favourite bollywood films. Blue's performance quickly brought attention to the store and crowds coming to buy some fries and look at her, "oh my god its working thank you both!" Peedee said, quickly running to serve new customers.
Mr fryman, the father of Peedee and owner of beach citywalk fries came out to thank blue, "thank you so much peedee-wait..Peedee is right there, who's in the costume!?" he said, looking back at blue in frybo, "do you want a potato?" Blue asked from within the costume, mr fryman looked back scared, "what is that creepy voice" he said walking back, blue suddenly grabbed some fries and shoved them into his mouth, lars and sadie who where on break from the big donut where also there and tried to run away but where stopped by blue using a lazer to freeze them, "AAAA ITS THAT WEIRD KID STEVEN IN THERE!!!" Lars yelled, "No its not and I'm not weird" Steven yelled, it seems lars didn't notice Steven was also here and right next to him.
"MUM STOP!!!", Steven yelled, grabbing blue by the arm, "but you said I must give everyone potatoes? Do the people of beach city not like potatoes!?" Blue asked, "WELL THEY WOULDN'T LIKE BEING ATTACKED AND FORCEFED THEM YOU CRAZY LADY!", peedee yelled to blue. Blue sighed, "fine, take the costume back", she said but just as blue was about to take off the frybo suit, a voice yelled, "STOP RIGHT THERE!", it was the pearl that was with rose quartz, blue looked back in shock and anger.
The pearl quickly summoned a sword from the gem in her head and rushed to blue, blue quickly grabbed pearl by both her arms and looked in her eyes, "BLUE DIAMOND!!!", pearl yelled, as she saw her face through the costume, but before pearl could attack, blue grabbed her gem and quickly threw her on the floor, causing her to return to her gem form.
"mum!? Where are you?" Steven said, ,trying to fight through the crowd of running people after witnessing frybo attack.As Steven got closer and closer to blue he was grabbed by his pearl, "Where is your mother my Steven??" She frantically asked Steven, "she's the one in the costume she went crazy!" He told pearl, "oh stars....Blue and potatoes never go well" pearl sighed.
As the 2 got closer they saw blue looking down at the pearl gem and still in the costume, "MUM TAKE IT OFF!!" Steven yelled, throwing her dress to her. "I don't understand?? I did what you and that boy asked of me but everyone freaked out??" Blue said, sounding sad. " I didn't mean force them to eat the fries!" Steven cried. Blue sighed and threw off the costume, "I guess I'm not supposed to be a mascot" she huffed.
"Thank you for that my diamond, I've noticed you and potatoes have a odd history together" pearl said, following blue as she walked away, Steven quickly followed after them trying to hear what they where talking about. "I've learned a lesson today, that eventhough I'm a diamond I'm not good at all jobs" blue said, looking out to the waves, "that's good and all my diamond but please but your clothes back on" pearl said, trying not to sound rude. "Oh stars I forgot!" Blue yelped as she quickly threw her dress back on and blushed from embarrassment.
Later the other 3 gems including the rose quartz went to retrieve the Pearl's gem, "I can't see the other gem that belonged to the corruption", the tall one said, looking around, "I heard she got into a fight with a angry guy in a mascot suit" the short purple one joked, "maybe, some gem shards possessed the suit" rose quartz said, holding up the gem, "whatever it may be its great pearl is safe.
