After I told my family the news, they spent the rest of the day trying to comfort me until Tom had to leave. "I have a meeting tomorrow, do you need anything?"

"No." Tom smiled and kissed my forehead. "I'll call you in the morning."

After saying goodbye, I picked Callie up and sat on the couch. "Tom's a pretty cool guy."

"He definitely is, I like him a lot."

"I am glad to see my sister finally happen again."

"I'm not much of a husband stealer, but considering what Katy did to me, I am identifying this as karma."

Jason shrugged. "Who cares at this point? You both are separated from your spouses. Focus on each other, especially now."

"Yeah."

"I'm still sorry that happened to you."

"It's okay, it just was unexpected, but Tom said that he wants to take care of the kids and I."

"Oh, does he?"

"Yes and his daughter is such a sweetheart, but I am going to head to bed, I'll see you in the morning."

*** The next morning: I woke up and got a text from Tom.

Hey baby, I got a surprise for you later. Well, two surprises. Meet me at my place at 6:30.

After I called the babysitter since Jason and Jess had to work today, I got ready for work and saw Danny standing near my desk, talking to Micah and I could tell that she was pissed.

"Danny?"

He looked at me and smiled. "Hey."

I rolled my eyes. "What do you want?"

"Just wanted to talk to Micah about something."

"I am sure you don't want Katy seeing you talking to another girl."

He scowled and went to his office, shutting the door behind him. "What did he want?"

"He was just rambling off about seeing the kids."

"No. Absolutely not."

"That's what I said too."

"Tom texted me and told me that he has a surprise for me."

"What is it?"

"Not sure."

"Hello, ladies."

Micah looked up and saw Katy. "What the hell do you want?"

"How are you doing? Haven't spoken lately."

"Hmm I wonder why."

"Not my fault he chose me over her." She said, pointing at me.

"I don't have the time for your shit this morning, Katy."

"Are you jealous, Valentina? That he'd rather be with me?"

I shrugged. "Tom would rather be with me."

"Yeah, okay."

"You seriously think that he would still have feelings for you, considering what you did?"

"Hey, it's not my fault."

"You cheated on him with my husband! What the hell do you mean that it's not your fault?"

"Danny and I were meant to be together."

"Whatever, Katy."

She laughed and walked away. "God, I hate her."

"Tell me about it."

"How are you holding up this morning?"

"I'm trying to get through it."

"You are strong, Val. I know it hurts but you'll get through it."

"Thanks, Micah."

*** Eight hours later: After work, I went home and got dressed, waiting for Tom to pick me up. "Where are you off to?"

"Tom has a surprise I guess."

Jason smirked. "I know."

"What do you mean?"

"You'll have to wait and see, I don't ruin surprises."
