Niko POV
"She left!" I screamed out.
Paul looked at me unfazed as a fit of rage coursed through my body. He knew something. My hand wrapped around his neck.
"Where is she?"
"I... don't know." He struggled to get out the words.
"Fuck!" I roared dropping him. He hit the ground coughing. "I want her found!" I ordered.
"Your men are searching for her now. We haven't found anything yet though."
"Why wasn't I notified the second she went missing?" I stared at Paul hard. He straighten his body, readying himself for the wrath I was about to bring down on him.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Head start?" He replied with a cocky smile. My fist instantly connected with his jaw, dropping him back to the ground.
"Put him in a cell." I was ready to kill him. I couldn't do that though. I have known Paul since he was born. He and Tommy were thick as thieves growing up. I couldn't kill him for protecting Viv.
"She is gone Niko. I don't know where or how, but I know she ran. She left this horrible life you offered her. Just let her go." He yelled as Gio pulled him away.
I knew what he said was the truth but I didn't care. I could figure this out. Find a way for us to work. She was happy this past week. She gave herself to me last night in a way.... Fuck! She was saying goodbye to me last night.
She left me! She left me forever.
I won't accept it. I can't. She could be in danger. She has no money, no food. Someone from Grasso's family could recognize her and take her. Some part of me knew these were all excuses, but I wouldn't let myself realize it. She was mine and I was a selfish man.
"Never! She is mine." I yelled back approaching him fast. "She will return here and she will never leave me again." I spoke in his face now.
"Then you will kill her." Paul shrugged out of Gio's grip walking down to the basement himself.
I stood in my kitchen fuming. How could she leave me? This week was going so good. Why did she leave?
"Capo, I can organize some men to head to her old spots in New York. She can't get far with no money. We will find her." Vanessa spoke soft but stern.
I should have sent her home. I should have never brought her here. Vanessa was a constant reminder of the life we could never have. How could I be so stupid?
"Just find her!" I ordered, not caring what anyone did.
I left to my room before I lost all control. She was fucking gone! I would never see that face or feel that body again. Who would tell me to fuck off now?
I slid down my bathroom door frozen to my new reality. I couldn't accept it. I had no idea how to change it though.
Should I let her go? Paul was right, she was miserable here. All week she behaved only because she was planning her escape. She wasn't really happy.
I pulled out my phone. "I want Sophia, Dominick, Marie, and Dennis put in a cell." I ordered then hung up. Someone had to of helped her.
I don't know how long I sat there but it felt like days. My mind spun all over the place. How could I live not having her by my side?
The more I sat there the angrier I got at her. She left, tearing my life apart. She would pay for this! I walked downstairs to my basement watching Sophia cling on to Dominick while Paul and Dennis stood proud.
