Ch. 55 - Satisfaction

Niko POV

I was hoping to get Viv alone in my office but then she invited Paul to walk in. It was probably for the best since I knew she was still pissed at me. She asked her demands and I didn't mind giving her any of them. She was learning the rules and her limitations which made me happy. I was fucking tired of fighting with her about not doing stupid things that would get herself killed.

Her body language was tired and her tone fed up. She was losing that wild spirit in her and it made me cringe inside. She wanted things she could no longer have, but I still liked how she fought for what she wanted. Now she was being polite and actually asking me. I didn't know how to feel about it.

In two days, we go after Joseph and I really didn't have the time to worry about her. I wish she could just get her shit straight already. Maybe mothering the little girl will make her happier. She'll find a purpose beyond her old desires to be a doctor.

I had to admit she would have been one hell of a doctor though. I also knew she would be an amazing mother. I clenched my jaw picturing what our children would be like. Fuck! I wasn't some emotional woman that dreamed of weddings and family. I don't understand why this keeps consuming my thoughts?

The next two days went by without a peep of issues, finally. Viv was getting into her daily routine with work outs in the mornings, helping in the kitchen in the afternoon, then at night they watched a movie or read. I hadn't seen her go to the garden lately though.

I shouldn't be noticing these little things but I could no longer help it. Every time I came home my feet instantly took me to find her. We didn't speak. I just needed to see her and know she was here.

My days were filled with business meetings, both with legal and illegal businesses. The families wanted Joseph and we all felt the anticipation kick up a notch as each hour passed until we raided that club.

I looked over my body dressed in a black suit and white shirt. My frame was wide with muscles and my face etched in perfection. I always knew I was a handsome man and my presence demanded obedience. My eyes were sharp with a coldness very few ever saw pass. Vivian and Tommy broke down my walls like no one else could. I missed both of them. I clenched my jaw and walked downstairs for dinner.

"This is a beautiful home, Nikola. I'm honored to be invited." Dennis stood as I approached the table. He was my contact for the clubs downtown in the less desirable areas. His brother was actually in charge of them, but he was a low life I didn't trust. Dennis had many data entry locations around the city and knew how to show respect.

"As long as tonight goes as planned then I won't make you regret stepping foot in my home." My icy blue eyes met his and he gave me a nod. He wasn't afraid of me, but he knew not to piss me off. His family ran too many pieces of my empire I couldn't easily kill them without taking a hit financially.

Vivian walked in with Amy in a red dress that flowed around her curves. My eyes couldn't help but go straight to her body burning with a deep desire to have her under me once again.

"V? Why are you here?" Dennis concerned tone had my anger hit new levels. How the fuck did he know her?

"Dennis? Wow! I didn't think I'd ever see you again. How is work? I hope I didn't leave you with too much of a mess?" She walked around my chair to give him a hug. I cracked my neck annoyed. They seemed a little too friendly.

"It was a bit surprising you never showed, but I heard about Tommy and figured you left or something." His hands lingered on her waist speaking a little too close to her face. "Are you ok?"

"Enough! Sit, both of you!" I ordered.

"Oh no, is everything ok?" Fucking Vanessa walked in placing a hand on my shoulder. She was trying to be helpful, and honestly, she was the best fucking assistant I ever had. She learned my moods and wants. Sometimes offering me what I needed before I even thought of it. That included her body too but I couldn't get my stupid dick up. The second Viv walked in he was throbbing though.
