Niko POV

The second I saw Randy half dead my anger took over. My mind went straight to Viv. She stitched him up and said he was fine. I should have had my doctor check him out. I don't know why I trusted she could do anything right.

The doctor cut Randy open and there was a piece of a bullet in him. He removed it and patched him back up. He said he needed rest and would be ok. He better fucking pray he would be ok. I wasn't losing anyone else. Randy married his high school sweetheart and had two kids. There was no way I was telling Shelly her husband was dead. I wouldn't be able to handle that.

I stomped up the stairs on a mission to fucking destroy something. The night was calming down and reality was coming back to me. Grasso fucking ambushed us, took another one of my men, and left us a fucking mess. His entire family was burning alive for this shit! I was done with politics and rules. I was the Capo and we would have no more enemies because they would all be dead.

As I walked into the kitchen Viv was sitting quietly by herself with a bowl of soup. I'm sure she was fucking exhausted but I was too angry to care right now. Then I saw her sway a little and she fell out of her chair.

I ran, scooping her up in my arms. Her body hung limp in my arms and I can't even describe the pain coursing through my body. "Greg!" I screamed. I should have ran downstairs but I was frozen in fear. She wasn't dying, not today, not ever.

Greg ran in quickly taking her pulse then feeling her head. "She is running a slight fever and clammy. Get her to her room. Hopefully she just needs some fluids. Has she been eating lately?"

My eyebrows pinched together. She barely touched her food since Michael left. "Not really. It's been a hard few days for her." My voice was full of regret. I did this to her.

"Sophia, grab my bag and meet me in her room."

I walked upstairs but I stopped at her door and turned to my room. She was mine. "I'll take her to my room. There's a little girl she shares a room with and I don't want to scare her."

Paul let out a sigh making me want to punch him. "V will freak if she wakes in your bed."

"She'll be fine." I commented with my hard tone back to him. I was beginning not to like Paul anymore.

"Of course, Capo." He said but I heard the edge to his tone.

The doctor hooked an IV to her and checked her pulse a few times. "She should be fine, boss. Just needs some rest. I have to give meds to your men. Is it ok to leave?"

The doctor knew I was a ticking time bomb. I stood there with a stoic expression unable to move.

"One minute." I said then left the room.

"Viv isn't feeling well. She's staying with me tonight." My voice was harsh but I held back from making my words an order.

"Is she ok?" The little girl trembled with tears in her eyes.

"Yes!" I barked back at her. Shit! "Yes, she is fine. She just needs some rest. She won't be able to do that if you're in here crying all night. Can you be good for Viv?"

"I can. Tell her I'm going to bed now and I'll read her a story tomorrow while she rests more." The little girl climbed under her covers.

"Ok... good, night." That was weird. I closed the door and went back to my room.

"You can go!" I ordered the doctor and he gathered his bag.

"She just needs some rest and she'll be fine." He assured me again.

"That's fine." I said through gritted teeth. I didn't like this.

The doctor came back shortly to remove the IV after it emptied and now she just laid there in bloody clothes dead asleep. She didn't move or stir once as I stared at her. I approached the bed slowly, putting my ear to her face. Thank God she was breathing. It looked like she wasn't.
