Vivian POV
My mind was in overdrive right now. I couldn't think about anything other than saving these men. I just lost Tony, a man I never met before, but it was still hard. Watching someone in so much pain then his life just leaves his body.
My stomach was queasy as I stitched some other men I never met. I gave him a shot of Novocain so the needle itself shouldn't be hurting him, but he had other injuries. I quickly finished then tied the last knot when Dominick turned and threw up in the corner.
"Shit! This place is fucking dirty enough." I rolled my eyes at him. I walked to the next man on the table bleeding out from his stomach with a deep cut when the smell hit me.
"Fuck Dominick!" I yelled, running to the sink and threw up myself. I had a thick stomach, but this shit was too much.
"I got it, go help them." Sophia said as she turned on the faucet.
"Thanks!" I grabbed a needle and gave the men a shot of Novocain in his stomach. Then I prep seven other needles with a pain killer.
"Niko give these to your men in the arm." I pinch the fatty area to show him where. "It will help with the pain until I can get to them."
He took the needles without question and went to each man. I grabbed some more Novocain and prep three other men with deep wounds then went back to the first and began sewing him up. His cut was half way through his body. I had to sew inside him and then close him up. I prayed I learned enough to get me through this night and that I didn't accidentally kill any of them. After I finished the third patient their doctor finally arrived.
"This is insane, boss. I don't even know where to begin." The doctor said, placing his bag down. "There's at least twenty men upstairs all bleeding."
"We got four more critical ones here then we can assess upstairs." I said cursing under my breath.
"Who are you?"
"A prisoner with very little medical experience. Everyone calls me V. We lost one man already." I sadly pointed to Tony.
The doctor lifted his shirt then pulled it back down. "Those wounds were too extensive to save him. My name is Greg. Want to get me up to speed?"
"Check those two. These two just need some stitches. I can handle that."
He walked over to a man with slashes, cuts, and bruises all over his body. I wasn't sure he was going to make it. I gave him a shot of a painkiller earlier and he seemed too at least be calm.
"Fuck, this boy has wounds on every inch of his body. I need gauze and disinfectant to start." He shook his head still examining the man. He was looking to see what needed to be addressed first.
"Here you go. I don't know anything about all this but I'll help however I can." Sophia said, handing Greg the supplies.
"Good, because we are going to need help."
I stitched the two men quickly and the doctor ordered Sophia to get him everything he needed as he worked to stop as much bleeding as possible. "I think he'll be ok. Dominick write down his name and a note to give him PK in two hours. We need to keep track of these men and the meds we give them."
That was a good idea and Dominick jumped right to it. He was not cut out for this, yet surprisingly Sophia would make an amazing nurse.
"Let's check the men upstairs. You need anything?" Niko asked as I tore off my gloves and rinsed my hands.
"Yes! That bullet out of your chest. Sit!" I ordered him.
"I'm fine. Take care of them first." He turned to walk out as Paul came in.
