Chapter 55

"Breakfast is an important meal of the day, yes?"

Everyone in the table turn silent except for one.

"I couldn't agree more but we do not want to force a ill individual, your Majesty, yes?" Minho counters.

Azure shakes his head gently as a small smirk makes it's way on his face. "Indeed, sister." He paused and proceeded to take the first bite of the meal and soon everyone started to eat.

Minho wanted to roll her eyes at this pretentious meal today. However she didn't done the act, of course since her son is with her. Unfortunately her husband wasn't feeling any better suddenly this morning. He has a fever as she chose to make him rest. She has to deal and explained his circumstances to Azure after the meal. She finds it a good sign that Akira isn't around today. She doesn't want to deal with more troublesome people nowadays.

Azure turns to meet her gaze. Strangely she is also positioned to sit right beside the Emperor and beside her is her son. Usually this seat is given to siblings or the Empress.

Everyone drowns on their own conversations at the background when Azure asks her. "Why is my brother in law not here?"

"He has a fever, unfortunately. Your Majesty. Besides he needs to rest. As a good wife am I. I want to keep him in bed and provide him the best care. I have left his side now but I left specific instructions to your eunuch." She answered. "Perhaps it's the weather that he is un accustomed too in your Empire."

Azure nods. "I hope he recovers soon."

"He will."

Azure chuckles. "You have a lot of faith for your husband, I see."

"He is a brilliant man."

"Lucky man, he is."

Minho looks at the Emperor narrowedly. "What are you trying to say now?"

Azure raised a brow. "What else do I mean?"

"Tell it to my face rather than-"

"I knew what happened last night. Akira's not here because I do not want you getting upset, sister." Azure beams a smile.

Minho slowly nods. "I see, how did you know?"

"I'm the Emperor, of course. I know the things happening inside and outside my domain." Azure replies.

"Very well, who is Azule then?"

"Why do you ask?"

There was a paused between them as they stared at one another. Eyes as if challenging who breaks off, first surrenders. Azure cracks and looks away. "We will talk about my dearest brother after my court meetings." Azure replied as he got off his seat without finishing his meal.

Louis lightly taps Minho's arm. "Mother is everything, all right?"

Minho nods. "Yes, finish your meal. I need to tend to your father." Minho leaves the table, everyone's eyes are on her figure as she left following behind the Emperor.

Louis furrowed his brows.

Minho walks into the opposite path even though she had exited just barely a few minutes behind the Emperor. She knew what Azure said will be done accordingly as he always sticks on his schedule. She makes her way back to the room she shared with her husband. The servants left the room once she entered and reported to her that her husband already took his medicine and his fever has gone down. The royal physician advised that he get an all day rest for sure tomorrow he will get back on his feet.

Raven stared at her as she reaches the bed. He held her hand immediately and say. "You came back so soon, I guess.... Breakfast without me is not that good?"
