Severus woke to an empty bed. He blinked sleepily as the room came into his view. Hermione was on the couch enjoying a bowl of oatmeal that she must have made in the small kitchenette. He glanced at the small stove. Sure enough there was a small pot on the stove and his container of oatmeal out on the counter. He inhaled deeply as he stretched.
It was Friday, one of Hermione's test days for her students. She had a book propped up on the table in front of her as she munched on her breakfast. She didn't hear Severus get up as she turned the page. "Didn't think you'd be here," he said groggily as he leaned over the couch to kiss her cheek. She smiled as he went to the bathroom.
He left the door open as he went pee, knowing she'd stare at him the entire time. Sometimes it was fun to tease her like that. He smirked as he glanced at her. Her eyes were glued to his member urinating in the toilet. He snickered to himself as he finished up, hearing her clear her throat. "I only woke up half an hour ago," she responded, shoving another bite of oatmeal in her mouth.
He groaned as he went to get a bowl himself. He knew he should get down to breakfast, but he honestly didn't feel like any company. Also, he was sure that she felt the exact same way. He sat beside her on the couch with a groan. She took her bowl to the counter and sat it on beside the container of dried oats. While she knew to leave it for the house elves to clean, she grunted disapprovingly at herself for leaving it. "Hermione, Bonks loves to clean my room," he reassured her, reading her thoughts.
"I know, I've given up on SPEW, but I want to make the world better for all non-wizards. Goblins, Werewolves, House Elves, I want to hear their complaints and make a difference." Severus shook his head at her ambition. It was a very large goal she set herself.
She went to change her clothes back into her school robes that Bonks must have cleaned last night and left for her here. Severus watched her change with a soft smile littered across his face. She had a small baby bump growing and next weekend she was going back to the doctor to see how much the baby's grown and find out the sex. Severus had authorized it with Minerva a few days after she found out.
Hermione must have noticed him staring, she halted buttoning up her shirt and looked suspicious at him. "What?"
He shook his head, smile still plastered to his face. "Nothing, just admiring your bump," he said, setting the oatmeal on the table in front of him. She glanced down at her stomach, rubbing the bump affectionately. "Minerva agreed to let you apparate to your appointment from the house," Severus stated.
Finishing getting ready, she nodding. "Great, its a morning appointment and a Hogsmeade visit. Would you want to meet me at the house around noon?"
Raising an eyebrow, he smirked again. "Wouldn't miss it," he said in his deep voice, covered with sexual tension. It's been a moment since they had sex, so he was more than a little excited at the idea. However, he was sure she would want to talk about the baby first.
As she heard the bell tower ring, signalling for first class, she sighed. "Severus, can you bring my books here for class?"
He picked up his wand from the table and waved it, blue sparks shot out and all of Hermione's books appeared on the table close to her. She grinned and went to give him a kiss before picking up her books and heading out the door. He hoped no one wondered why she was in his office all the time. However, he decided he didn't care.
Not having much to do today, at least not yet, he decided to have an easy day. Kicking his feet up on the couch he picked up the book she was reading. It was a muggle book that she must have brought with her from the holidays. What to Expect When You're Expecting. He bookmarked her place and started reading it himself from the beginning.
The bell signalling lunch rang, breaking Severus from his long trance with the book. It wasn't that bad of a read. Informative on the science behind growing a child and getting ready for a child. If only his mother had read it when she was pregnant with him. He grunted as he got up. He was sitting down for too long. Wincing as his body started to crack as he stretched, he groaned.
Leaving the room would mean that he would have to get actual clothes on. He didn't want to change out of his pajamas. Sneering, he quickly dressed and put on his Snape face, heading out. Minerva greeted him happily as he got to his seat. "Severus, you finally made it to a meal," she exclaimed sarcastically.
He missed one meal. "It was only breakfast, Minerva. I had a bowl of oatmeal in my room." Piling on some mixed fruit, he took a bite of a strawberry.
She clicked her tongue angrily and lowered her voice, "Yes, but I noticed someone else not here either." He rolled his eyes, but went to search for her.
Spotting her eating a large plate of ham and beans with a side of toast and fruit, he held back a grin. The last thing he needed was to draw attention to himself right now. Ginny was beside her talking angrily about something. Must be about Weasley. Thinking back to yesterday, he hoped that Potter got his friend to sleep.
A large snowy owl soared in and dropped a letter at Severus' plate. He groaned and opened it. It was a letter from Potter stating the while Ron went to sleep, he was still refusing to leave the office and eat. That kid was on the fast track to rock bottom. He stuffed the letter in his pocket and stabbed another berry, but not eating it. He needed to help Potter before Weasley did something that everyone would regret.
He decided to go to the library to research different ways to break someone out of a hyperfocus. Maybe there was a certain spell or enchantment that could snap the boy out of it. Severus dipped his head to Madam Pince as he entered the library. He stayed there for several hours looking at every book he thought could help. None helped.
He was getting very annoyed at the schools choice in books at the moment. He even checked in the restricted section an hour ago. There was a lot of dark books there that even Severus forgot they had, but nothing that could possibly break a hyperfocus attack like this. He tapped his chin, thinking hard. He'd need to go into Hogsmeade and talk to a couple of people in town to see if they had any books that might help.
There were a couple of people in the town that had a bigger collection of books than Severus and the school. Maybe they could be of help with some ideas. He'd have to write to them and make sure that they were even at home, however. There was a possibility that they were away searching for another book together.

I'm cutting it off here for the night. I'm thinking of what Ron will do and I'm not sure. If anyone has any ideas let me know.
