Severus was waiting for the teachers to calm down. He called a staff meeting after Kingsley, Eldridge and Potter left. Minerva walked in with her sternest face and her lips pressed together to form the smallest line Severus' ever seen. Narcissa and Flitwick came in speaking gently about the success of the program this year. Sprout was looking pleased with Neville's exam results.
He wanted to get each of the teachers thoughts on what they read in the paper this morning. They all sat down around the small table in the staff room and looked at Severus expectantly. "Thank you for coming. I would like to know your thoughts on the article that was published this morning about Miss Granger and myself."
Minerva clicked her tongue and refused to look at him. He knew her thoughts already. Flitwick shrugged. "We had no idea, nor any reason to be angry about it. She's always been a great student and has kept her grades up all year with being the head of a new program that actually has had a good impact on the students."
The other teachers all muttered in agreement. "I've not known her as long as you all, but I've known you, Severus. You have been happier this year than I've ever seen you. That's what I care more about. You've also always been fair when it comes to grades. Tough, but fair," Narcissa stated.
"Potter and Weasley would have to disagree with you there," he stated, thinking back to his spy days when he would favor his Slytherin's over everyone else.
"You had to play the part, but I know you," she responded.
Sprout nodded. "Yes, she's always been a good student. You were a good student as well. It's reasonable that you would be attracted to each other."
"The problem is that you openly protested the Ministry. They don't like that," Narcissa stated.
He nodded. "Yes, but the prophecy."
Minerva kept her mouth shut, but listened intently to everyone. She was angry that he decided to publish the story. "Minerva?"
She looked at him tensely. "I've know for a while. I hate that you openly protested something that the Ministry has insisted. However, I do agree with you. Blood testing needs to stop before its started."
The teachers seemed to understand, which shocked Severus. They didn't like the fact that the Ministry was forcing blood status testings either. They didn't quiet know how the article protesting the testings of Severus' and Hermione's son would help ban blood status for good, though. Honestly Severus didn't think it would.~~~
Later the same day, while Severus was sending out letters of good recommendations for some of the 6th years going into seventh into the teacher program, Kingsley popped in through the floo. Severus held back a snarl of annoyance. "Severus, we have a problem."
Snorting, Severus folded the letter and placed it into a hogwarts envelope. "Yes, we do, any more unannounced visits and people might talk," he said sarcastically. Kingsley ignored the remark and walked to the desk.
"We have riots happening at the Ministry. Rita Skeeter is coming here in a few minutes and will be publishing a retraction on your refusal to do the blood test for your son." Severus froze, anger boiling.
"I will not be retracting my statement on my refusal to participate in the blood tests. When I told you to gain control, I did not mean of me and my free will and thoughts," he hissed.
Kingsley shook his head. "Severus, people are rioting, Azkaban is going to be full of people getting punished for things that they don't mean."
"What are they saying? That they don't want to participate in the blood status tests?"
Kingsley sighed. "Yes, they are starting to refuse."
Severus snorted. "Good, sometimes the people needs to rise up to protect their rights."
Narrowing his eyes, Kingsley leaned on Severus' desk, trying to be intimidating. Severus didn't even blink as he looked dead in the Minister's eyes. "You told me to take control, I have a plan. Severus, trust me like I've trusted you."
Severus sighed and thought about what Kingsley said for a moment. The man had trusted him when it came down to it, except during the war. "Kingsley, what is your plan then?"

I'm going to end it here because I have to think of a plan. If you have one...let me know lol.
