I'm back finally back. A week without writing was making me nuts. I never knew how badly I needed to write to continue my creativity.

Severus and Hermione had a new routine. While the Ministry knew of their involvement, the school did not except for Minerva. On the weekends she would stay the night Friday into Saturday. She would help him brew potions for his side potion business on Saturday and Sunday she would do her work for the week and prepare for classes.
She was getting big. He was around five months and starting to move around a lot. It was making her sick a lot, which made the staff worried. She kept waving them off, though. He was slightly worried that he'd have to tell the staff, but Hermione kept telling him no.
They were no closer to finding out the meaning of the prophecy than they were when it first popped up. They didn't even know who sent it. The Daily Prophet kept on printing more and more stories about blood purity being a cause for concern. It made Severus very uneasy.
"Albus, another story was in the evening Prophet about blood purity. They're wanting the Ministry to start testing the children before they go into school of their status," Severus shook his head and tossed the paper on his desk.
It would never fly. After all the things that the Dark Lord did during his reign at the Ministry, the world wanted to reinstate blood purity. He glared at the paper as if it spoke bad to him. The flashbacks from Voldemort's blood status reign was powerful. The things he had to do that he pushed down and locked away had started to resurface.
He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes. Hermione had caught him the other night having a panic attack brought on by the flashbacks and told him what to do. As much as he hated to admit, it helped more than he realized. He tried to focus on his heartbeat, to slow it down. Suddenly a knock came at the door.
Severus opened his eyes and called, "Enter."
It was Hermione with a student. A third year named Charlie Yowe. Severus raised his eyebrow at Hermione as they neared the desk. She crossed her arms and glared at Charlie. When he didn't say anything, she jerked her head towards Severus and tapped her foot. Something bad had to have happened.
Charlie rolled his eyes and sighed. "Professor Snape, I want to apologize for what I did in class."
"What did you do in class?" Severus glanced at Hermione who still was glaring at Charlie. Charlie shuffled his feet and licked his lips nervously.
"I brewed a terrible concoction that exploded all over Janis Adams that caused sprouts of warts and boils all over her face. When Miss Granger told me to apologize to Janis, I said that the mudblood looked better like that and laughed. She gave me one more chance to apologize or she'd bring me here to you for punishment," Charlie explained in a bored tone.
Severus was shocked at the lack of care for his fellow student's feelings. He kept his anger under control as he spoke, "You will serve two months detention for harming a fellow student and an extra week of detention by me personally for using utterly foul language at another student."
Charlie looked shocked at the amount of detentions he'd just received. He looked from Hermione to Severus expecting someone to laugh and say it was all a joke. Hermione shrugged nonchalant. "You should have apologized to Janis when I told you to twice."
He gritted his teeth and folded his arms angrily. "First week of detention you will serve with Miss Granger. The rest of the month will be with filch doing whatever nasty thing he can dream up. Come back to me the first of next month for the rest of your detention destinations," Severus told Charlie. He was pleased that there was an amble amount of fear in the boy's eyes.
Filch could think of a lot of bad punishments for students, so Severus knew that the caretaker would have no problem with a month of detention. Especially if he was told that the boy called a fellow student a mudblood. It was as bad as calling him a squib.
Severus nodded towards the door. "You may go. Tonight at seven go to the potions classroom for your first detention with Miss Granger," he said roughly.
When Charlie left the office, Hermione shook her head. "Two months, don't you think that's a little harsh?"
"More and more parents are writing letters to their kids asking if their friends are pure-blood or half blood. If they're muggleborn, the parents ask their children to shun their friends. Imagine if the Weasley's told Ronald to shun you as a friend. If Ronald shunned you, then Potter would have shunned you simply because Weasley would have explained why being a muggleborn is bad according to pure-bloods."
Hermione nodded, understanding. "Why are parents telling their kids to shun muggle borns?"
Severus shrugged. "I have no idea, but it's bringing back memories I'd rather forget."
She walked over to him and kissed the top of his head. He sighed soothingly. "This is all getting out of hand."
She agreed. They needed to figure out a way to bring the world back together or blood status will forever divide the magical world.
