I didn't want to turn into that girl. The girl that once a guy starts paying attention to her, she drops everything else and makes the guy her sole focus. I was never that girl and I don't wish to be her.
Today, Sunday, was a me day. I woke up around noon, just in time to eat lunch. I was eating a lot more now, well not like before when I used to stuff my face but I didn't have the urge to convince myself I wasn't hungry every time I saw food anymore. I was doing a lot better and I was quite proud of myself. Small improvements are still improvements.
After lunch, it took so much determination to not watch Netflix. But I decided that since my homework was actually do tomorrow that I should start.
Dear teachers, I realize we do have two days to complete all the numerous assignments you have asked of us. But it's a very arduous tasks because 1) we are trying to catch up on the sleep we lost during the school week because of your homework 2) some of us have other commitments during the weekends 3) you already get to torture us eight hours a day five days a week, so how do you think it's fair to steal us of our weekend too?
I am a teenager so I am going to complain, but then again thank you teachers for educating us, we appreciate it.
If I didn't procrastinate then I could get this done in give or take four hours, not too bad.
As if I needed yet another reason to procrastinate, Sydney texted me.
'Hey Em!'
'Hey Syd! How is everybody?'
'We all miss you when we go off campus for lunch, we miss you not deciding where you want to eat (: and we're doing okay without you Em. Have you talked to Luca yet?'
'Wow you guys used to complain about my indecisiveness all the time and now you miss it?!?! Just kidding I miss you guys terribly too. And no I'm too scared to text him.'
'Well I'm not going to make you talk to him but I know he would really appreciate it if you did. Anyways where do you live now?'
'It's this small town called ShadowView. It's boring but safe which is good.'
'I can tell that you like it there. How's school?'
'It's good, it's actually how I meant Andrew and Sebastian. We have a really weird schedule and I have to take six classes which sucks but two of them are study hall.'
'Who the hell is Sebastian? Did you not become friends with at least one girl?'
'He would've fit in perfectly with our friend group. He's really sweet. And haha not one girl has talked to me here.'
'Look at you, getting all the boys.'
'Yeah right, we're just friends.'
'That's what they all say Em, anyways got to go do my homework byes!'
'Haha I was just about to say the same thing bye!'
Then I worked diligently for hours straight, okay I took random breaks now and then but I did pretty good. I did get texts from Bash and Andy but I didn't reply because I wasn't supposed to focus on them today.
We all ate dinner and then Mary Ann suggested that we all watch a movie together in our pjs, Alec snickered because that was always our plan anyways but I knew Mary Ann just wanted us to bond. We all got dressed in our pjs and Mary Ann and Al sat down on either side of us and we decided to watch Fantastic Four, such a great movie.
It was great to hang out and just do nothing together. I knew Alec loved it, he loved being loved. It was great to see him smiling and I was starting to like this family more and more.
