"What are you thinking about, Beoms?" Taehyun asks, staring over at Beomgyu who has his head propped up on his hand, not paying any attention to the conversation between them all. He's been quiet for a minute now, not responding to anything that anyone says.

He just seems off and it worries Taehyun more than it probably should.

Kai and Soobin pick up on the conversation, both of their heads turning to face Beomgyu as they halt their own conversations, the room falling into a still silence. Beomgyu seems completely unaware of the fact that Taehyun called his name and that everyone in the room is looking at him, continuing to stare off while chewing on his bottom lip.

"Gyu?" He asks again, jostling Beomgyu's knee to snap him out of his thoughts.

There's a frown on his face when their eyes meet, gaze clouding as his head tilts to the side. Beomgyu's eyes dart from Taehyun's to the others, and he's sure Beomgyu's probably confused as to why everyone is suddenly staring at him.

"What happened?" Beomgyu asks, lines forming between his eyebrows.

"What were you thinking about?" Taehyun repeats, turning his body so that he's facing Beomgyu more.

Beomgyu shrugs. "Just tired."

Without a second thought, Taehyun wraps his arm around Beomgyu's middle and pulls him closer, guiding Beomgyu's head to rest against his chest. Beomgyu's skin is cool against his own and it's a wonder that he hasn't grabbed a blanket or something yet. He would've turned the air up if he had known Beomgyu was cold. The older lets out a sigh, moving closer and burying his face in Taehyun's chest.

"Where is the cabin at?" Beomgyu asks, turning his face to the side, cheek pressed against Taehyun's face as he plays with the material of the younger's shirt.

Taehyun runs a hand through Beomgyu's hair. "Soobin found one a few hours away. It's in the middle of nowhere though, so we'd have to make sure to pack everything." He glances over at Soobin. "Do you still have the photo of it?"

Soobin reaches into his pocket, pulling his phone out. "I can find it, I want to say–" he pauses, frowning and letting out a deep sigh. "I hate facial recognition. It literally never works, it's so dumb. Whoever came up with it is stupid."

"It works fine for me," Taehyun comments, amusement evident in his voice as he tries to bite back a laugh.

"Works for me too," Kai adds in.

The room falls silent, Soobin glaring between both of them before Kai laughs loudly, using the back of his hand to cover his mouth. Taehyun has missed hanging out with all of them, and he only wishes that Yeonjun was able to be here too. And he knows that Beomgyu has missed Kai too based on the way he seems so captivated every time something leaves Kai's mouth, gaze lingering on Kai for a bit longer every time he laughs.

"Both of you are annoying," Soobin mumbles, scrolling through his phone. "Sorry I'm not some technical analyst, Taehyun."

"Cybersecurity specialist," Taehyun corrects.

Soobin blinks at him.

"Whatever. If you want to act like that, find it yourself."

Kai joins in. "I work at a coffee shop and mine works fine. I think it's an operator error," Kai moves away when Soobin raises a hand, fully prepared to smack the life out of Kai.

Taehyun watches them with amusement.

It's the first time in a long time that everything actually feels okay. It doesn't feel forced and he can tell by the way Beomgyu's eyes are crinkled at the corners from smiling so hard that he feels the same way.
