Dream

Days passed, and Alluka's leg was healing properly. Of course, now Tanjirou had to carry two girls with him, but if you asked him, he'd say he was just fine with it.

Which unfortunately didn't seem to convince Alluka herself.

"It's alright, Alluka. I can carry you." Tanjirou attempted to explain. He was okay with carrying her, really.

But Alluka felt guilty.

She shook her head no, silently whimpering in slight pain from even standing. -No, I will not be an inconvenience to someone else.-

Selfishness stems from one's personal inconveniences.

Alluka frowned upon recalling the words. She could never remember who spoke them, only why they were spoken in the first place.

Personal inconveniences grow from one's weaknesses.

"PLEASE MARRY ME!!!"

Empathy is the water and sunlight of weakness.

"NO! STAY AWAY FROM ME"

One's who are considered burdens ar-

SLAP

-What is that noise?- Alluka thought, a tiny bit of annoyance cursing her mind. Well, the words were annoyed at being interrupted. Alluka was relieved to be free from them.

When she looked ahead, she spotted a mop of yellow hair on the ground crying and an angry lady screaming at him.

Alluka and Tanjirou just kind of stood there, not knowing what to do, until a tiny (and adorable) sparrow flew right on Tanjirou's hand.

It chirped, and Alluka thought she would have fainted from the cuteness. Tanjirou's face seemed to frown.

Huh

He nodded as if he understood the sparrow and took off running to the sobbing boy.

Alluka ran after him (or tried to, at least), limping a bit as the teenager ahead of her stopped the woman from continuing her abuse(?) self defense(?).

"Please, stop!" Tanjirou yelled at the both of them.

The yellow boy person thingy only wailed before actually looking at Tanjirou.

"Hey, I know you."

Huh

"Huh? I'm sorry, I don't think I know you." Tanjirou admitted to the stranger.

By the time Alluka actually got there, the lady stomped on the ground in anger, saying she had fiancé and left the three of them standing there, one with a red hand mark on his cheek.

Specifically the yellow person boy thing.

The yellow boy thing turned to Tanjirou and began his "sob story".

"I promise you! That hot chick was worried about me! I'm 100% sure she's in love with me!!!!!!!!!"

...

That look on Tanjirou's face would make even her father cry from shame.

Which is what the yellow man-child boy person thing simp did.

"Don't look at me like that! It makes me feel like I'm some weird yellow man-child boy person thing simp!!" He wailed.

"I hate you! I could've married her if it weren't for you!!!!!!!!!" He continued complaining.

...

"I told you to stop looking at me like that! I swear to heaven that I'm not a yellow man-child boy person thing simp!!!"

Alluka and Tanjirou shared a glance, unamused and unconvinced.

"I'm gonna die!!!" The teenager grabbed into Tanjirou's green checkered haori. "Please! You have to protect me! At least until I get married to some hot-"

"What's your name?" Alluka asked. It had been what felt like forever ago that they'd met him but not know his name.

"Huh?"

"Oh yes, that's right." Tanjirou smiled. "I'm Kamado Tanjirou."

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm Agatsuma Zenitsu." For once, he wasn't crying.

"I'm Alluka." Zenitsu glanced at the young girl. For whatever reason, he had not seemed to notice her.

[A/N I'm not gonna make Zenitsu simp for Alluka since I'm pretty sure Zenitsu has limits to what age of girls he likes so don't expect to see any simping from Zenitsu to Alluka]

"Alluka what?" He raised an eyebrow in suspicion. His paranoia seemed to tell him that she was dangerous, maybe she was from a family of assassins.

But that was his paranoia talking. No way this sweetheart was from an elite family of assassins.

Alluka bit her lip. "Uh." She didn't like telling people her last name.

Remember, if you want to live a normal, simple life, you have to prove that your normal and simple.

Killua told her many, many times before.

Don't tell people that we're not normal. Or else we pay the price of selfishness, while they become nothing but an inconvenience.

A selfish inconvenience. Part of Alluka didn't believe that. Illumi had told him that, probably.

Right now, we are not Zoldycks.

"Just Alluka." She said.
