Having dinner at five in the afternoon almost feels like a crime but we have plans for our night which meant that we had to get it out of the way. I went without having lunch so I could have the appetite for our meal this evening.

"I love that we're all matching." I smile while looking around at my family minus Mia who is currently working. "We need to do this more often."

"Hell no." Jace scoffs and everybody laughs as I purse my lips at him. "Our whole childhood was made up of you dressing us all in matching outfits on the red carpet and on vacation."

"Vacation times were the worst because that's when she would get expressive with the patterns." Vince cringes and I kiss my teeth at him. "She was in love with the Hawaiian shirts so we all had the big, bold prints on our matching sets."

"I thought they were cute." Gianna winks at me. "Especially when mom allowed us to start customising the outfits."

"We're only young once and now we have these beautiful photos to look back at on." I say with a smile. "I have no regrets and I would do it all over again."

"I know you would because you always smile big when looking at the photobooks." My only son playfully rolls his eyes.

"Anyways, we need to get a waiter to take a picture of us before we leave." I tell them because we are dining at a Mediterranean restaurant so the vibes are pretty immaculate and I've heard that we may get to witness some belly dancers in action.

"You'll get your picture." Vince presses his lips against mine and I smile warmly while looking at him. "It's nice to see that you've opted for a very light makeup look."

"It's dinner so I had to show so I had make to some type of effort." I mumble while looking at myself in the phone camera. "I only have on tinted moisturiser, a bit of mascara and some lip balm on."

"You look beautiful either way." He pecks my lips as I feel myself blush.

There was a time in my life when I would not step outside of the house without makeup on as I feared ageing and the things people would say. I was blessed in having really good skin growing up and being in the limelight meant that I always made sure to look my best no matter what because I was always being photographed.

Things changed during motherhood especially when I was juggling three growing children while working and my husband was out of town. I couldn't present the best version of myself at all times and the media were very critical about that.

"Ya'll are so cute." Gianna says and we turn to see her taking pictures of us so I lean into my husband as we smile for the picture. "I hope I can find a love like this when I'm ready to start dating."
