They had spent a couple of days on the train until it finally came to a halt, and the sun stood proudly in the blue sky. Kori jumped out of the boxcar and looked around the gravel-covered field. He noticed a loud noise coming from above and looked up to see a large white plane slowly descend and fly past the train station.
Kori turned around to the boxcar in excitement and said, "Holy Arceus! That plane was huge! Did you see that?"
Hiro leaped out of the boxcar, stretching his back and arms. "I sure as hell heard it. These trains are so uncomfortable, my back is killing me."
"Haru, how're you feelin'?" Kori asked.
Haru jumped onto the gravel, "I feel fine; my arm just feels sore to move."
"That's good! Let's hurry to the Pokémon Center so you can get checked on." Kori said excitedly.
As they walked through Nexus, they immediately noticed how much different it was from Melody City and Mycorrhizal. The vehicles here hovered low to the ground, unlike anything they had ever seen. The majority of the buildings had shiny glass surfaces or a futuristic look to them. Swarms of people and Pokémon could be seen everywhere, and in the sky, four pillars of white stone spiraled out from the city's outskirts, winding around each other like a strand of DNA until they formed an illustrious, large tower. The tower dwarfed all the other buildings surrounding it.
"That's the Albus Tower!? It's huge! I can't believe I'm seeing it in person," Kori said in shock.
"I knew it was big, but damn..." Hiro exclaimed.
Haru couldn't help but stare at Albus Tower; it was unlike anything he had seen before. Something so large and in such an unusual shape was stunning to him.
Is this what Adhira meant? Seeing things I have never seen... I want to see more. Haru thought to himself. He looked at his arm, then at Kori and Hiro, who were just as amazed as he was. I want to see more with them, Haru thought.
"Alright, let's hurry and find the Pokémon Center," Hiro said, pulling out his trainer ID.
Kori sighed. "I want to go into the tower, though! Imagine how it must feel up there!"
"Haru still needs to get checked on; the sooner the better. Come on, it shouldn't be too far from where we are now."
Hiro leads the way, with Kori and Haru following closely behind. Kori made sure he stuck close to Haru the entire time. They inevitably reached the Pokémon Center, which looked identical to the one in Melody City inside and out. They walked over to the healing area and found one of the many nurses, who all looked exactly like receptionist Joy from the Trainer Plaza.
"Excuse me, nurse, my friend Haru was bitten by a Mightyena a couple of days ago. Could you please check on him?" Hiro asked.
"Oh my! Of course, that must've been a serious injury. If it was only a couple of days ago, we'll likely have to give him stitches. You all follow me."
The three of them followed the nurse into a room that looked like a standard examination room. There was a large chair in the center for the patient to sit on, and a myriad of different medical tools were set up next to the chair. Kori and Haru stood against a wall anxiously as the nurse rolled up Haru's sleeve and began removing the bandages on Haru's arm.
"Did one of you wrap his bandages? This is really well done."
"Nope, it was a friend of ours. She helped us take care of it right after Haru got bit." Kori answered.
"Oh, how sweet. Alright, all the bandages are off; let's take a look..." The nurse paused with a bewildered look on her face. "I thought you said he was bitten a few days ago."
