Letting out a deep sigh, Lindsey sank back into the leather sofa as he stared blankly up at the chandelier that hung overhead.

It was a little after midnight and he had spent all day hauled up in that room with his guitar in his lap and a million pieces of sheet music sprawled out around him.... Like usual. However, that night, after a couple of glasses of scotch and not much ambition, Lindsey was over it.

Nothing felt good enough and he was tired of playing the same cords over and over again without any real results.

That was, until, the sound of heels hitting the wood steps outside the door caught his attention and without a second thought, he scrambled to stand back up.

"Hey!" Lindsey's voice caused her to flinch as he pulled open the door, eyes falling right on the blonde.

She was standing close to her door, holding the key in one hand and an unopened bottle of red wine in the other. It was obvious that she had been out- her hair was done in long curls, she was in a dress that went down to her knees, covered by a long coat and tall tan suede winter boots.

Turning around quickly, Stevie creased a brow as her eyes melted right into his. "Why are you so rambunctious?" She wondered with a soft smile trailing across her face.

He chuckled lightly, just than realizing how hyper he had acted... She was right. "Are you busy?" He then wondered, leaning into the doorframe to be a little more chill than before.

She paused for a second, trying to decide if he was being serious or not. "It's midnight, Lindsey..." she lingered with a little shrug of her shoulders and another faint giggle. "I was going to go in and get in my pajamas." She added, even though she knew that didn't sound even remotely exciting.

"Oh," he nodded lightly as he began to fiddle with his hands awkwardly.

Arching her brow, Stevie turned around a little more in order to really look at him. "Do you need something?" She asked, very confused by the entire situation...

He was so mysterious, but so was she.

He let off another little grin, kind of shy but also not at the same time. "When you're done doing that, do you wanna come in for a drink?" He knew that was a long shot, especially since he was a total stranger... "That wasn't what I meant, I-"

"Let me get changed and I'll come over." She cut him off, not giving him enough time to counteroffer. "Take this." She held out the bottle of wine as she used her other hand to twist the knob on the door of her suite.

He couldn't help but chuckle, surprised, to say the least. "Sounds good." Lindsey held out a hand to take the bottle, waiting until she slipped into her room before he backed into his.

He had just enough time to set the wine down on the stand, then he ran around the room, picked up the sheet music on the floor, and the clothes off the furniture to toss them into the one bedroom. And then, just as he closed that door, her knuckles met the other.

"Just so you know, I don't ever do this." She was sure to announce the moment she slipped into the room the room that was right across the hallway from hers.

He let out a soft laugh, nodding his head as he lingered close to the door. "I'm glad to hear that." Lindsey admitted with a soft grin on his handsome face as he held out a hand to motion for her come in further. "Neither do I." He added with a faint smile.

"Mhm," She put one foot in front of the other, shuffling around the hardwood floor in a pair of slippers as she made her way into the living room area. "So did you go sight seeing today, or...?" She shrugged a shoulder softly, beginning to get a little nervous all of a sudden... She shouldn't have gone over there, she knew that.

Shaking his head, he ventured towards the small kitchen net to pull out the only two real cups the room had. "Actually, I hung out around here and worked all day." He admitted and for some reason, she wasn't at all surprised to hear that.

Nodding softly, she leaned back against the accent chair slowly as she watched him twist the top off the bottle of wine. "There is a lot of really great things to do, ya know?" She couldn't help but smirk, not trying to be bossy, but definitely aware that it was coming off that way. "There's some really nice restaurants and the beach is gorgeous, even this time of year." Stevie was trying to make small talk- anything to keep from sounding silly.

He cracked another very light, very sweet grin. "I came here quite a few years ago and have some really great memories," Lindsey wasn't afraid to be open with her, even though he didn't really know her like that... After all, they were still compete strangers. "So this trip was more about reminiscing, while I figure out some things for work." He carefully held out a glass as he traveled away from the counter and towards her.

She raised a brow lightly, heart beginning to beat a little faster as he came closer. "That's sweet." She carefully took the glass, bringing it right up to her lips as her eyes fell to the floor. "Did you get your work done at least?" She then asked as she pushed herself away from the chair to venture around the sofa.

She wasn't really shy.... Maybe a little on the rare occasion, but not normally. Something about his entire presence just made her feel a little giddy.

"No," he let out a dry chuckle, shaking his head softly as he watched her slowly take a seat on the leather couch. "I've been stuck on the same couple of cords all day and nothing really sounds right." Lindsey took a seat on the loveseat across the room, also trying to be a little more causal than he felt...

He couldn't believe that he had invited her inside and she actually agreed. They were both crazy.

"I wanna hear it." She didn't hesitate to ask as another little smile traveled across her face.

He raised a brow, kind of surprised at the excitement that lingered in her tone. "Alright," he nodded lightly as he leaned forward to set his glass down on the coffee table to pick up the guitar sitting on the couch next to him. "What do you wanna hear?" He wondered, blue eyes melting into her big brown orbs.

She bit down on the inside of her cheek, letting out a sheepish laugh. "I don't know... surprise me."
