They spent the rest of the night curled up on the sofa, watching a couple of old rom- coms before they fell asleep with the fireplace still lit, and the lights dimmed down. It was easy and safe... Both of them were more comfortable when they were together than they were apart, which said a lot for just meeting a few days earlier.

It wasn't until almost ten that next morning when Stevie began to stir, brown eyes slowly coming open at the sound of the door closing gently. "Lindsey..?" She creased a brow softly when she realized that she was alone in bed.

"Hey, beautiful woman." He let off a soft grin, seeing her push herself up in the messy sheets as he headed back into the suite. "Good morning." Lindsey added, setting down the to-go bag on the counter in the small kitchen net before he pulled his hoodie over his head.

He was still in a pair of sweatpants, a t- shirt with messy curls and a handsome smile trailing across his face... He made her heart flutter instantly.

"Good morning." She repeated with a little smile as she leaned back against the headboard.

"Did you sleep good?" He wondered, kicking off his shoes before he started to open the styrofoam container.

Nodding head softly, she ran her fingers through her long blonde curls as her eyes followed his every move. "I did, did you?" Her voice was still a little groggy and the morning sun seeping through the lace curtains caused her to squint, but she was still as pretty as ever.

"Better than I have in a really long time, actually." He admitted as he stared down at the food in the boxes, trying to focus on getting it on the plates rather than the floor. "So good, in fact, I decided to wake up early and make breakfast..." He teased with a little smirk tugging at the corners of mouth.

Tossing her head back, she let a deep giggle escape her. "Very cute." She assured, brown orbs meeting his blue ones as he ventured through the room with two plates in one hand and two cups of coffee in the other. "Let me h-"

"You're fine, just relax." He motioned with his head for her to lean back, not wanting her to feel like she had to get up already... even if he was nearly juggling it all so he didn't have to make two trips to the kitchen.

With a soft smile, she reached across the bed to pull the duvet back on the side that he'd slept on.

"Here's a coffee for miss brown eyes." he carefully handed her one of the cups, lips turning up as he set his down on the stand. "And I couldn't decide what you'd like better, so I got a little bit of everything." He added.

Stevie couldn't help but blush, a soft laugh filling the air around them as she watched him set a plate down on the blanket in front of her. "You are too sweet, Lindsey." She shook her head lightly, biting down on her lower lip as she cradled her foam cup of coffee close to her mouth.

"I had a really good night with you." He had told her that once already, but it was true...

Nodding lightly, she took a sip of her coffee as her eyes scanned over his side profile. "I had a good time with you too." She assured as she carefully pushed herself up on her knees to crawl in a little closer- going slow so that she didn't spill anything on the comforter.

Lindsey kept his cup in one hand and didn't hesitate to slip the other around her waist. "Hi, there..." he smirked softly, heart beating a mile a minute when his eyes met hers once more.

"I don't want it to end yet..." she whispered, another little laugh escaping her when he pulled her in closer.

Shaking his head, he lazily set his cup down on the nightstand to give her all of his attention. "It doesn't have to."

Biting down on her lower lip, Stevie's eyes wandered to the grandfather clock as she tried her best to focus on what her husband was rambling on about... but it was hard to pay attention, especially since her mind had been preoccupied all day.

She was physically there, but mentally, she was still wrapped in Lindsey's arms.

And in all reality, she had been spinning in circles for a couple of hours- after she had traveled back across the hallway, that is....

She missed him immediately and even though she felt crazy for feeling that connected to a man that she barely knew, it also felt right in a lot of ways... She wasn't sure anything had ever come that easy.

"Did you hear what I just said?" Tom lightly snapped his fingers, creasing a brow as he watched her come back into reality.

Nodding her head softly, she shifted in her chair as she reached out to grab her glass of wine. "You want to go out with some of your friends tomorrow evening before we leave for Boston." She recounted, not nearly as phased as she normally would be to hear that he, once again, was canceling plans with her. "That's fine." She added with a soft shrug of her shoulders.

He cracked a little smile, shocked that she wasn't interested in arguing over it. "Great," his eyes fell back down to the plate in front of him, picking up his fork to push the pasta around. "What'd you do today?" He wasn't normally too curious, but he knew something she didn't....

Taking a sip of her red wine, she looked across the table, eyes locked with his. "Same thing I do every day." She lied, raising a brow lightly before she set her crystal glass back down on the lace tablecloth.

"Hm," his forehead was wrinkled, already aware of the fact that she was being dishonest. "You weren't at the front desk when I called." Tom mentioned.

Scrunching up her nose, she let out a soft laugh. "I went with Sharon to have lunch and then we went shopping for awhile." She told him, not at all impressed that he was asking such stupid stuff... Who was he not to trust her?

It was actually kind of offensive.

"Okay," he held up his hand, silently telling her to calm down before she even got really annoyed. "I was just curious." Tom added.

Pursing her lips to the side, her eyes narrowed. "Don't be curious." She could be harsh too... It wasn't always one sided. "It makes you sound silly."
