"Well, this is pretty fancy." Lindsey smirked softly, eyes casually traveling around the suite as he stood close to the door.

He had come across the hallway to pick her up and after she welcomed him in, he couldn't help but take it all in. It was a lot like the rest of the Inn, except her room was more of an apartment with two separate bedrooms, a living room, a full kitchen and a balcony that over looked the world below.

She had all gold accents, floral rugs, gorgeous Victorian style furniture, custom art pieces hanging on each wall and the scent of lavender lingered through the air.

It was extravagant, but he expected nothing less from a woman like her.

She chuckled softly, constantly finding herself a little more giddy around him... How did he have that power over her when he was just a stranger? It was crazy. "Thank you, Lindsey. It's small but it's special." She was sitting in the accent chair, zipping up her tan suede boots and getting ready to put on her long coat.

The sun had gone down by then, dinner was over, Tom had left to get drinks and the Inn was very still. The only people in the hallways were random guests and staff, but that was few and far between at that time of night. So that seemed like the best chance for them to sneak out and since she knew of some great places on the island, he was also really looking forward to it.

He was a little nervous, but excited.

"How long have you been here?" He was a little reluctant to ask any serious questions, but he also felt like after spending the entire night together talking and laughing, maybe he could actually get to know her... Only if she was cool with that, obviously.

Setting both of her feet on the ground, letting the heels make a thud, she pushed herself out of the chair to stand. "I've lived here for a little over five years full time." She announced as she tossed her jacket over her shoulders and slid her arms in. "But I inherited the Inn from my aunt twenty years ago." She added, even though he really didn't ask... She knew that he was curious.

They had both been playing a mysterious game with one another- not really hinting at much in their personal life, but also being subconsciously flirtatious.

He smiled softly, nodding his head as he looked over at her with the most gentle set of blue eyes. "That's really nice." Lindsey mentioned, watching as she began to trail towards him... He was trying hard not to stare too prominently, but it was really difficult.

The way her long blonde hair laid in soft curls down her back, the hint of blush on her cheeks, the dark eye makeup and that crooked grin... She was absolutely stunning.

She chuckled very faintly, stepping out into the hallway first as Lindsey closed the door behind them. "It's been an adventure, for sure." She wasn't sure how else to say it... It hadn't always been easy, but it had been quite the ride and she had loved it from the very beginning.

He was following behind, eyes traveling with her as she moved down the creaky wooden steps. "It's definitely something to be really proud of." He replied, another grin tugging at the corners of his mouth when she hit the last step and turned around to look back at him.

"That's very kind of you." Her voice was soft as she trailed next to him as they began to head through the lobby.

She was a little anxious to go out.... to some extent, but not nearly as anxious as a normal married person would be if they were sneaking out with someone else.

"I just have to swing by the front desk and then I'll meet you out front." She wiggled her fingers lightly, silently telling him to head out first and then she would follow, eventually.

Cracking a soft grin, Lindsey nodded faintly as he slipped one hand in his pants pocket. "See you outside." He assured, even though he was already well aware of what was going on... It wasn't necessarily obvious, but it wasn't rocket science either.

He could tell from the start that there was something that she wasn't being totally forthcoming about, especially after they had spent that night together. Obviously, he couldn't really make assumptions, not when they just met, but seeing the wedding ring on her finger that afternoon really solidified it.

And it wasn't his business... It really wasn't, none of it and instead of asking any questions that he didn't feel entitled to know- he just stood out by the door, watching people pass by as she spoke to Marissa at the desk.

"What are you two going to do?" Marissa smirked lightly, having tried hard not to stare at the couple when they walked in, but finding it nearly impossible.

"I don't know." Stevie shook her head, voice nearly a whisper as she slowly leaned into the counter. "I'm sure he won't, but if he does happen to call or swing by, tell him that I'm with Sharon." She felt as small as an ant asking her employee to lie to her husband, but it wasn't like she was doing anything overly wrong... Going out for a couple of hours wasn't catastrophic, not when she had no alternative motives.

Lindsey was just nice and it wasn't the worst thing in the world to be nice back.

She playfully leaned in to whisper back as another little laugh escaped her. "Your secret is safe with me, boss." Marissa teased, giving the older woman a little wink just to make her giggle in return.

"It's not a secret, don't call it that." Stevie's face grew a little flushed as she began to venture backwards through the lobby. "I'll see you later, sweet girl." She waved before she turned on her heel.

"Don't party too hard!" Marissa shouted lightly, letting out a chuckle as she watched Stevie slip through the rotating door and right outside, where Lindsey was still waiting.

He was leaning back against the brick wall, blue eyes melting into hers the moment she came out. "You ready?" He cracked a smile, one hand still in his pants pocket as the other motioned towards the rental car parked right on the curb.

She nodded softly, butterflies forming in the out of her stomach when he pulled open the passenger side door for her. "Thank you," her voice was very soft- it usually was anyway, but a little extra that evening.

He waited until she was in before he closed the door to venture around the front of the car, slipping in next to her a second later. "Whatever you want to do, Stevie." Lindsey looked over at her, one hand on the wheel as the other reached out to turn down the volume.

Biting down on the inside of her cheek, she sank back and took just a second to think. "We could go down to the light house and talk..." she shrugged softly, not wanting to sound boring but also not sure what else there was to do.

She felt like keeping it on the down low now that her husband had arrived in town....

Nodding lightly, his lips turned up. "Sounds perfect."
