Rubbing his forehead with the tips of his fingers, Lindsey stared down at Stevie, who was laying flat on her back on the living room rug... she hadn't moved all morning. "Are you sure you don't want to me to call your doctor?" He wanted to- he had mentioned it several times since she'd gotten up, but she was so stubborn.

Holding up her hand, she kept her eyes closed as she felt her stomach begin to turn once more. "I'm fine." She whispered, even though she definitely didn't feel anywhere near fine.

She just felt really light headed and constantly sick to her stomach, but that was nothing new for any pregnant woman that had come before her... That was just a reminder that she was carrying a baby and honestly, she felt better knowing it was all working how it was supposed to.

"I just need to be right here for a second." She assured in the softest tone of voice as she finally opened those big brown eyes to look up at him.

He was standing by the coffee table, a cup of tea in hand and a look of concern on his face. "What else do you need?" Lindsey was really good with her... He had been for the last two weeks- ever since the morning sickness had hit harder than she had anticipated.

She chuckled lightly, holding up her hands to wiggle her fingers towards herself. "I need you to come sit with me." Stevie knew that he was pretty worried- he'd been awfully antsy since she'd gotten sick.

And though she had assured him a thousands times over that it was just morning sickness, he still wanted to have her checked out every time she even moved wrong.

Lindsey let off a little grin as he trailed closer.

"That's good." She assured, one hand lazily falling on his knee the second he had taken a seat on the rug next to her. "I'm feeling better already." She joked with a faint wink.

He carefully placed her cup of tea down on the rug before he took her hand in his. "Still the most beautiful woman..." he shook his head in disbelief as he lightly began to rub her knuckles with the pad of his thumb.

She smiled once more, heart fluttering as she stared up at the man that had totally swept her off her feet.

He had been so supportive and gentle ever since he had found out that she was pregnant just a few weeks earlier. He was patient, caring and more determined to make things work than anything else.

He didn't want Stevie to feel bad about anything, not in the slightest. So to prove that he was just as excited as she was for this little surprise, he was there every step of the way.

In the four weeks since she had told him, she'd had three doctors appointments. One was the first check up to find out that their baby was just shy of six weeks at the time, the second was just another normal visit to check in and the most recent was because Lindsey thought she was far too sick for it to be normal... It was, in fact, very normal.

But he was over protective- she had found that out very early on and even though she was thankful for it, she also didn't want him to be an anxious mess for the next six months... She wasn't too hopeful of that though.

"It'll all be worth it." She knew it would be the greatest gift she'd ever received and even though it was clear that the journey getting there wouldn't be a walk in the park, everything after would be.

Since Stevie was a little bit older, she was on some pretty serious restrictions already and her doctor gave her a list of things to pay attention for. So within the last couple of weeks, she had limited her caffeine, already tried to work out a healthy diet, scheduled doctors appointments far in advance and was warned, right off the bat, that before the end of the pregnancy, she would probably be on bedrest.

And even though that was all a challenge- she was ready for it.

"I appreciate you." Lindsey carefully brought her hand up to his lips, leaving a couple of soft kisses on her wrist. "You are already so incredible with all this." He thought she was everything... She had him totally captivated.

With a soft set of eyes, she held out her free hand, silently asking him to come lay down with her. "So are you."

Stevie had to pry herself off the floor a few hours later, even though her head was still pounding and her tummy was in knots... She had a really important dinner date that she couldn't miss- she didn't want to.

"You're sure you're going to be okay?" Lindsey didn't want her to feel like she had to... They would still have all week to hang out with his daughters.

Glancing up, she stared back at him through the bathroom mirror as she finished up her makeup. "I have looked forward to this all month, Lindsey." She reminded him with a gentle smile trailing across her sweet face. "This baby can cut me some slack for at least three hours." She was trying to make light of it, even though the look in her eyes revealed just how exhausted she really was.

He chuckled, nodding in agreement as he pushed himself away from the doorframe to finish getting around as well. "It'll be a good time." Lindsey was really excited for his daughters to meet Stevie and vice versa... He knew they would get along so well.

With a faint giggle, Stevie nodded her head as she set her mascara down on the counter. "I'm sure it will." She assured, venturing back through the room to grab her shawl off the bed and slip on over her shoulders.

"You ready?" He met her in the living room, eyes scanning over her long dress and tall boots before they came back to her face.

Nodding softly, she slipped her arm through his as she grabbed her clutch with her free hand.

"You are so beautiful." He told her, lips meeting the top of her head as he led the way towards the door.

She squeezed his arm lightly, still grinning as they began to travel down the stairs to the lobby. "Thank you, honey." Her head met his arm, jumping lightly when she heard a loud squeal fill the lobby the second they entered.

"Dad!" Mallory couldn't control how loud she'd said that as she held up her two hands to wave at the couple.

Both of Lindsey's daughters had the deepest set of blue eyes, long blonde hair, and smiles that were absolutely contagious... they were both stunning and Stevie thought they were also very kind, which out weighs everything else.

"Stevie!" Laura was right next to her younger sister,  just as much excitement in her voice as she reached out, pulling the blonde in without any hesitation.

Giggling lightly, Stevie wrapped her in a warm hug, a huge sigh of relief washing over her. "Hi, sweet girls."

"We have heard so much about you." Mallory announced, nudging Lindsey playfully. "And we're so excited to spend some time here."
