Rumple and I decided to go to granny's for lunch today. We have taken the day for ourselves We're not gonna worry about a portal or anything. We're gonna spend time together just the two of us. Granny comes over and puts our burgers on the table
"They smell delicious, Granny." I said
"They are delicious." Granny said "Didn't take any dark magic, either." She looks to Rumple "Oh, and I charge extra for the pickles."
"Mmm-hmm." Rumple said "I have a complicated relationship with her." "As I do with most people."
"Well I got to know you in time" I said and I place my hand on his and he smiles at me.
"What did I ever do to deserve you?" Rumple asked and I smile. The diner door opens Regina walks in and over to our table.
"Gold." Regina said "We need to talk."
"Do we?" Rumple asked
"Folks, I think I may need to close early." Granny said "Everybody out."
"No, it's okay." Regina said "We're civil."
"Yeah, for now." Rumple said "Annalise you remember the woman who tried to run you and your sister out of town?"
"This seems like it's really between the two of you so I'm gonna" I said
"No, no." Rumple said "Please stay where you are." "Whatever she has to say won't be a secret from you." "Whatever she wants.. she won't get."
"I'm actually coming about the one thing that might unite us." Regina said
"And what on Earth can that be?" Rumple asked
"Cora." Regina said "She's coming from our land." "I need your help to stop her." I saw Rumple tense up at the name and frown
"She was dead." Rumple said "You told me you saw the body."
"Apparently you taught her well." Regina said "She's not, and she's on her way and I don't think I need to remind you how most unpleasant that would be for both of us."
"For you." Rumple said "I can handle Cora."
"That's not how she tells the story." Regina said
"I won in the end." Rumple said
"Maybe." Regina said "But there's a big difference this time." "This time you have someone you care about." She glances at me then looks back at him "This time you have a weakness."
"Who exactly is Cora?" I asked
"Someone you will never meet." Rumple said looking at me. He looks back to Regina "So you say she's coming." "Where is she now?"
"With them." Regina said
"You mean?" I asked and Regina nods "Oh god" We all leave diner and head to Rumple's shop while David and Henry meet us there. We set up in the back of the shop.
