Somewhere near Oakland was a facility known as "Facility 0-5". It was a fairly large facility with large paddocks on the sides of the building. As of right now, there were four paddocks, two on each side.
A young twenty five year old woman was walking through the halls. She had orange hair, green eyes, a grey shirt with rolled up sleeves, dark blue pants, and brown boots.
This was Frances, however, during this time, her hair was far shorter. It only reached down to the base of her neck and she also had bangs that almost covered her eyes.
She went over to a door that had a label on it. The label read "D-Pen". The D stood for the name of the creatures that lived inside of this paddock. Frances placed her thumb on a fingerprint scanner and once it scanned the thumb, the door to the pen opened up.
The behaviorist walked in as the door closed behind her. The pen was quite similar to Owen Grady's Raptor Pen that used to house Blue and her siblings. It was an octagon shape with an observation deck on the top. The pen was filled with small trees, plants, and dirt to give the animals an idea on what the outside world might look like, since their main purpose isn't for fighting matches.
They're more like attack dogs if anything. If they're needed, they will be taken on missions outside of the facility, with heavy supervision.
Frances turned to the right as she heard rustling from within the bushes. She cautiously approached the bush before something jumped out of it.
It was smaller animal, no more than three feet tall. It had scales like a reptile, but had a body that was similar to a birds.
The animal was a Deinonychus. But this one wasn't fully grown yet. It's primary color is a swampy green with black splotches, it had yellow eyes with veins in them, and unlike the other Deinonychus, this one had features that they did not possess.
Instead of a coat of feathers, this Deinonychus looked more like an InGen Raptor. It was featherless and had quills on its head. Biosyn created two types to determine which one they should use.
This animal was staying as still as it possibly could. And all it did was stare at Frances with a blank expression which for some reason, alarmed her.
The reason why she was alarmed was because he's usually an energetic creature, energetic in that he's quite aggressive and is eager for something to fight with. But she's never seen him act like this.
Frances cleared her throat. "D-2, you will have to pay better attention to my instructions. The people upstairs aren't liking your behavior and if this continues, you'll be replaced." Frances threatened.
D-2 is quite a stubborn dinosaur. Whereas Owen's Raptors listen to him and look to him for guidance, D-2 did not act the same way. It was almost like he was doing it on purpose to anger someone. The only reason Frances is trying to talk her superiors out of killing him is because she thinks his aggression could be useful.
"Do you understand what I am telling you, asset?" Frances continued. But still, no reply.
She waited until a minute would pass. Maybe he was just trying to think of a way to respond. She hasn't heard him talk too much so maybe he was shy.
Then a minute passed, then another, and another. She waited for three minutes straight and nothing has happened in those three minutes. Frances was starting to lose her patience with this animal. Maybe the higher ups are right in wanting him dead. She's already heard that there's a possibility that more Deinonychus are going to be transported here, so what's the harm in getting rid of a faulty one?
