"Sublevel Six. Restricted Zone." A computer said as an elevator opened.

Alan and Ellie came out of the elevator. Both of them wore white suits that had facemasks. Not only would these suits keep their identities a secret, it would also prevent them from getting severely damaged by what they were trying to extract.

"Thanks for coming." Ellie whispered.

The paleontologist simply nodded as they walked down the halls. There were many labs around them that were mainly used to incubate animals. But some of the labs were for experimenting for specific projects.

"Malcolm said something about a lab, didn't he? Did he say anything about its name?" Alan asked.

"L-4. Looks like we're at L-2 so it won't be two hard to find it." Ellie replied.

Both of them could see the lab in the left side of the hall just behind a lab named L-3. Both of them started jogging towards the lab. When they were in front of the doors, Alan noticed that there was no handle on either of them. But he did notice a scanner nearby.

Ellie gestured to Alan's wrist where a band was on it. This band was the clearance they used to get down to Sublevel Six. But that's not the only reason they brought it with them. You can't just walk into someone's house and expect their security to be lacking. Especially not a house owned by one of the most vicious men on the planet.

Alan placed the clearance band on the scanner which made the doors open.

"Ladies first." Alan chuckled. The bag he carried with him that also had a locusts inside of it was placed outside. There seemed to be no staff so they wouldn't have to worry about being spotted. And the only reason they brought that one along was to compare it's DNA with the ones from this facility to use it as evidence.

After Ellie got in, Alan followed right afterwards. There were two sets of doors, the second set was put there to keep the locusts from getting out just in case they get through the first door.

Right before they got through the second set of doors, both of them were sprayed by gas or smoke that came out of the walls.

"What's with that?" Ellie shook her head.

"Disinfection, perhaps?" Alan speculated.

He then scanned the band again to open the second set. Once the doors opened, the first set closed behind them. When they walked inside, they saw multiple shelves inside the laboratory. It didn't look like a typical lab. It almost looked like a greenhouse. A greenhouse that just happened to house the largest insects on the planet.

The shelves had containers on them. These containers had wheat and when Alan turned to look at the wheat, he could barely make out a few legs poking through.

He cautiously followed Ellie through the lab. Being scientist, he knows all too well what will happen if bugs start swarming. However, if they get swarmed by these bugs, they're going to get more than just a sting or two.

The containers had labels on them. Most of them were just the serial number of each locust but they also had info on them such as their gender, age, and lifespan.

"So, why can't we just pick one of these?" Alan pointed to a random locust on a shelf.

"We're looking for a mature one. Look at the labels, but be careful." Ellie instructed.

Alan started looking at the containers. Most of what he saw were either juveniles or sub adults. Although, he couldn't tell either apart since he wasn't an expert on insects.

Both of the doctors walked slowly, and they made sure that each step they took would barely make a sound or else it might alert the rest of the locusts.
