Sublevel Eight

"All animals, you are to go to the courtyard at once. Follow the tunnel nearby and it will lead you straight into the courtyard. Stay in there until the fire dies down." Arby Benton, 2020.

Alice suddenly woke up just as she heard the announcement. She lazily yawned as she rose her head slowly from her resting place. She saw a green light flashing outside of PDK -12 which was the paddock that she was being held inside of.

With her being curious, she quickly rose from the floor to investigate. She's been here for two years and she's only ever seen a red light flashing in front of her paddock.

There was a large gate in front of Alice's paddock. Then, it slid to the right side and opened up. This led to her raising a brow. What was going on? What was the courtyard? Why was there a fire? And why did that voice want her to go there?

The Untamable Hybrid slowly made her way out of the paddock. And she sneaked out as slowly as she could because she doesn't understand what is going on and for all she knows, it could be a trap set up so that she'll be captured again.

She first stuck her head through the front gate and looked around. She noticed that some of the other animals in the Sublevel, such as the juvenile Brachiosaurus and the Ceratopsians like Nasutoceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus started to come out of their paddocks as well. And their paddocks also had a green light flashing on top of it.

Since Alice wasn't the only one that was let out, she guessed that maybe this had something to do with Richard or his friends since they did promise to get her out of here. But because she was right beside some of the herbivores, the moment they looked at her, almost all of them tried to get as much distance from her as possible. Apart from a Pachyrhinosaurus who was stomping it's left front foot as an intimidation display.

However, Alice ignored the Ceratopsian. Because she knew she could easily kill it if she wanted to. But she didn't care about fighting right now. All she wanted was a way out of the facility.

As Alice was walking around the Sublevel, trying to find the tunnel that was being talked about on the announcement she just heard, she started to hear mumbling from the other animals that were released.

"What is that?"

"Freak."

"Disgusting."

Those were what they said to her. But at this point, Alice didn't care anymore. She's heard those words for nearly as long as she's lived, they don't hurt her anymore. They almost mean nothing to her now because to the Indominus, they were just words. Nothing more, nothing less. And they couldn't bring her down like how they used to.

After being called a freak for many years, Alice has started to ignore the negative things that some would use to describe her. Because she knows she's not a freak, so why should she give those who call her a freak any attention when they're wrong? To her, it's pointless and she'd be wasting her time instead of focusing on more important things.

But that doesn't mean she wouldn't speak up for herself from time to time.

"Yeah, sure, call me a weirdo all you want. I know darn well you wouldn't even lay a scratch on me. Those words are the only things you use to hurt me, and they don't hurt anymore. So keep wasting your breath. Not like I care." Alice hissed.

She didn't mean it as a threat, though. All she did was silence the animals who kept insulting her because she knew they'd shut up if she acted like she wanted to kill them.

Once she said that, the room fell silent. No predator has ever said that to them without yelling at the top of their lungs. Considering how relaxed Alice was when it came to her voice, she looked like she could take on everyone in Sublevel Eight without any of them landing a single wound on her.
