Theo's first day at Forks High School had been a whirlwind of emotions, leaving him feeling drained and overwhelmed. As he made his way through the crowded hallways towards his next class, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the pit of his stomach.

The encounter with Jasper Hale had left him on edge, his mind buzzing with questions and suspicions. There was something about Jasper's cold demeanor that set him apart from the other students, something dark and unsettling that Theo couldn't quite put into words.

Lost in his thoughts, Theo rounded a corner and collided with someone, sending both of them stumbling backwards with a startled cry. As Theo regained his balance and looked up, he found himself face to face with Bella once again.

Watch where you're going," Bella snapped, her tone sharp and biting.

Theo felt a pang of hurt at Bella's harsh words, but he quickly pushed it aside, reminding himself that her attitude towards him was nothing personal. She was dealing with her own struggles, her own demons, and Theo couldn't fault her for that.

"I'm sorry," Theo muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Bella's expression softened slightly at his apology, but the tension between them remained palpable. Theo could feel the weight of her disapproval bearing down on him, a constant reminder of the divide that separated them.

Before Theo could say anything else, Bella turned on her heel and stormed off down the hallway, leaving him standing alone amidst the throng of students. He watched her retreating figure with a heavy heart, wishing there was something he could do to ease the tension between them.

But as he turned to continue on his way, Theo couldn't shake the feeling that his presence in Forks had upset the delicate balance of things.
