Tension hung heavy in the air as the Cullen family gathered in the living room, the events of the evening weighing heavily on their minds. Edward's anger simmered just beneath the surface, his eyes flashing with fury as he glared at Rosalie.

"You had no right to tell him," Edward spat, his voice laced with venom. "He's just a human, Rosalie. He doesn't belong in our world."

Rosalie met Edward's gaze with steely determination, refusing to back down. "He deserves to know the truth, Edward," she countered, her voice firm. "And he's not just a human—he's family."

Before Edward could respond, Jasper spoke up, his voice calm yet filled with authority. "Rosalie's right," he said, his eyes locking with Edward's. "Theo has a right to know who we are, especially considering..."

Jasper trailed off, his words hanging in the air, but the implication was clear. Edward's eyes widened in shock as he realized what Jasper was alluding to.

"Alice had a vision of him months ago," Jasper continued, his voice barely above a whisper. "She saw him... with me. He's my mate, Edward."
Edward's jaw clenched in anger, his hands curling into fists at his sides. "That's impossible," he snarled. "He's just a human, Jasper. He doesn't belong with us."

Jasper's eyes flashed with defiance as he stood his ground, his posture tense and ready for a fight. "He belongs with me, Edward," he said, his voice hard as steel. "And I won't let anyone stand in the way of that."

Before Edward could respond, Jasper's alternate personality—the Major—emerged, his eyes blazing with fury as he faced off against Edward. The two vampires clashed with a ferocity that shook the room, their movements fluid and deadly.

Rosalie stepped in between them, her voice filled with authority as she tried to diffuse the tension. "Enough," she commanded, her words cutting through the chaos like a knife. "This is not the time or the place for this."

Reluctantly, Jasper and Edward backed down, their anger still simmering beneath the surface. But as they turned to leave, their parting words echoed in the air, a reminder of the rift that had formed between them.As Edward and Bella made their way out of the house, their voices filled with contempt and disdain for Theo, Rosalie couldn't help but feel a surge of anger rise within her. She had always been fiercely protective of her family, and seeing them treated with such cruelty only fueled her determination to stand by Theo's side.

And as Carlisle messaged Charlie to inform him that Theo would be spending the night with them, Rosalie couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. But as she looked at Theo, sleeping peacefully beside her, she knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, she would do whatever it took to protect him—for he was not just a human, but family. And family always came first.
