"Okay, class," Ms. Tutweiller said as she gathered the class, " today we will be visiting the ancient tomb of Xaria. In addition to visiting the tomb, I have done some research that said we can participate in a real archeological excavation."

Bailey squealed in excitement, "I haven't been this excited about digging stuff up since our home got swallowed up in the mudslide of aught-four, which followed the flood of aught-three, and the locust swarm of aught-two."

I leaned over to Zack, "I was about to say that the excavation sounded fun, but that just kinda sucked it out."

"Tell me about it," Zack agreed.

"You know what? You ought to move," London said.

"Now, I assume you all did your reading and prepared for today's dig, she said doubtfully," Ms. Tutweiller mumbled toward the end.

"I didn't do the reading," London said.

"Shocker," I said.

"But I'm prepared," London finished, "I brought my own pail and shovel." London brought out a little pail and shovel that you'd use at the beach.

I sighed as I adjusted my bag. "Don't worry, I brought everything for the both of us," I told Zack, "Plus there's some goodies in here."

"Ah, you're the best. What kinda snacks you got in there anyway?" Zack asked, trying to look in my bag.

"Ah-ah," I playfully smacked Zack's hand, "We can look into it later."

It was a little bit of a drive to get to the excavation site that we were going to.

"Man, that bus ride up the mountain was awesome," Zack said as he finished the snack I gave him to be quiet on the ride.

"Oh, yeah, not like some of us didn't have anxiety about how narrow that road was," I said.

"I was so sure we were gonna fall off the side to a fiery death," London added as she laughed, "Didn't you think so, Ms. Tutweiller?"

"Stop the bus! We're gonna die!" Ms. Tutweiller cried out as she was carried by Cody and Marcus.

"Okay, at least my anxiety wasn't that bad," I said as I took a sip of my water, "Makes me feel better seeing that others reacted worse to that road."

"Why can't I breathe?" Ms. Tutweiller was panicking.

A guide jumped in, kneeling in front of Ms. Tutweiller, "Because we're at 12,000 feet. But it is okay. Relax." He and Ms. Tutweiller took a deep breath together. "Welcome. I am Luis, your guide," He introduced himself. "And you are?"

"Single," Ms. Tutweiller responded as she stared at him with loving eyes before it dawned on her what she had said, "Um, Emma Tutweiller. And this is my class from Seven Seas High."

"Uh, question, Luis. Where's the bathroom?" Marcus asked.

"Bathroom is over there, but you'll need this," Luis gave Marcus a 2 by 4 piece of wood.

"Is there a key on this?" Marcus asked.

"No, no," Luis laughed, "The door is open. That's for the spiders."

"I need this to kill them?" Marcus asked.

"Oh, no, sweet child. That will not kill them. It just knocked them out long enough for you to go," Luis said.

"Remind me not to drink so much water," I said, "I can't do spiders."

"I know you can't," Zack said, "Goal for today? Avoid the bathroom at all costs."

"Today, I will teach you about the burial ground of Princess Xaria," Luis started to explain, "And I will now tell you the story of Princess Zaria's fabled crown."

"And can we please hear it from the guide this time?" I asked, "As much as I love the Cody and Bailey program, I'd rather hear it from the person who's been living here the longest."

"It was crafted for the princess by her high priest. But unfortunately, she never got the chance to wear it before she perished. And it was buried with her, however, when the tomb was discovered, the crown was missing."

"Well, Luis, I have my own personal theory," Cody started.

Zack and I groaned in annoyance. "It appears the actual program was cut short today," I said, really annoyed. Zack and I went over to where there was a bust of Princess Xaria. I grabbed the camera and Zack stood beside the bust, he started to give it bunny ears. "Say Queso," I joked before taking the picture.

"I should probably apologize in advance for, well, uh, everybody," Miss Tutweiller said, trying to flirt with Luis.

Zack and I went up behind Cody, who was studying some papers. Zack held his plastic cup up to his face. "Who dare defile my tomb?!" Zack shouted in a deep voice.

Needless to say, I'm sure dogs heard Cody screech like a little girl. "Don't melt my face," He started to cry and whimper into the tree he was by. I couldn't hold my laughter anymore. It was so horrible, but yet such a wonderful sight to see.

Cody turned around to look at me and Zack. "Oh, very funny," Cody said flatly. "Lucky for you, I think I'm close to finding the crown of Xaria. And when I find it, I will be hailed as one of the greatest archeologists of all time," Cody told me and Zack. "You know, I don't know why I bother with you two. Zack's biggest dream is just getting into your pants."

I hummed and shrugged, "Dream's already been fulfilled."

Cody gagged at the thought.

"Hey! I'm sure you have similar dreams regarding Bailey. You don't see me or Esme gagging," Zack pointed out, "Plus, Esme's got a hot bod."

We followed the guide more because Cody couldn't figure out some riddle. The climbing was absolutely horrible.

I was drinking a smoothie at the Easy Squeezy, trying to relax. My legs had been hurting since that hike.

"Hey, beautiful," Zack came up beside me, "I got you something at the gift shop."

"You didn't have to get me anything," I said as I finished my smoothie, "But I do appreciate it."

Zack showed me a pair of earrings with beautiful gems on them. I gasped as I looked, and took the earrings. "Oh, Zack, they're beautiful. I love them. Thank you so much," I said before I started to put the earrings in.

"You look like a goddess," Zack said with a smile.
