"Who's ready for Mardi Gras?!" Woody exclaimed, wearing all sorts of beads, a jester hat, and a mask.

"Ahh, that would be nobody because Mardi Gras isn't for another 3 months," I explained as I was trying to help Zack with his history paper. Zack never told me that he needed help and because of that, he failed his essay.

"Can I still wear the mask?" Woody asked.

"I'm sure the people of New Orleans would appreciate it," Zack said as he looked back at his computer.

"Why don't you do the report on the incident of the Jessie Belle?" I suggested, "It's one of New Orleans' most tragic tales."

"Oh, don't tell me you believe in that, Esme," Cody said with an exasperated tone.

I looked at Cody and squinted my eyes at him. "So what if I do? I've done numerous investigations of many haunted sites. Like the Linda Vista Community Hospital in LA. The Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Kentucky. I even stayed at the Stanley Hotel in Colorado. In fact, I got permission from Mr. Moseby and Ms. Tutweiller to do some investigations when we dock overnight," I said, "For only being 17 years old, I've published so many different findings. Not to mention, I'm one of the best investigators."

Cody rolled his eyes at me before he and Woody left the Aqua Lounge, leaving me and Zack to do some more research and work on his paper.

"There, ladies and gentlemen is the wreck of the Jessie Belle," Mr. Moseby showed some tourists, looking out of the main window, showing the wreck, "which sank 150 years ago."

"See, Zack? Even Mr. Moseby knows the history of this. Come on," I grabbed his hand and we got off the couch, "We should go listen."

"Alright, alright," Zack said as we quietly walked over, which Mr. Moseby had his back towards us.

"Now, legend says that its infamous skipper, Captain Entenille, was in such a rush to get home to propose to," Then Mr. Moseby started to speak with an effeminate accent, "his lady love Jessie Belle," then Mr. Moseby went back to his normal voice, "that he misread his compass causing the ship to run aground on Dead Man's Rock. Now some say that his restless spirit still haunts these waters. So watch out, the person standing next to you could be a ghost."

It made the small group laugh and chuckle, which put a smile on Mr. Moseby's face. At that same moment, I saw Zack smirk as he quickly and quietly leaned toward Mr. Moseby's ear.

"Boo!" Zack shouted. Mr. Moseby screamed and jumped into Zack's arms, which surprised me that Zack caught him and was holding him with no problem. "Wow, you're tiny but densely packed," Zack said.

I was packing some of my gear into my bookbag when I got a knock on my door. I knew Zack was working tonight, so it kind of threw me off. I opened my door and saw nobody there. I looked out of my door, looking both ways and was baffled by nobody being in the hallway. I hummed to myself before going back into my room, and grabbing an EMF detector. I turned it on, and looked out of my room again, only to find nothing. I shrugged it off before turning it off and heading off the boat. I went to the St. Louis Cemetery and got my stuff set up.
