A/N Sorry if this chapter and is a bit boring and/or short, but I promise it was necessary (cause character development.) Anyways, I'll let you get on with the story!
Sophie
Sophie materialized in one of the Neverseen's many bases, Gethen and Fintan on one side of her, and Ruy on the other.
Sophie's mind was whirling. She remembered everything now- all her real memories- but she'd had to pretend she didn't. Because something had changed in Sophie. She didn't know why, she didn't know how, in such a short period of time- but it had. And she was embracing it.
Before, she had been afraid to do the necessary, to do what must be done. Now, she wasn't scared. She'd been in as deep as it went- there was no going deeper then killing an entire, innocent family for revenge, scarring the person who had created her for the rest of his life, and having her mind almost shatter because of it. In such a short period of time, Sophie had changed completely. In the space of a few days, she had killed, lied, cheated, gone mad, injured, and come back sane. She was stronger for it. Before, Sophie's heart had pumped with love, and kindness. And fear. Now, her heart pumped with the promise of revenge. Yes, she still loved her family and friends, and yes, she still had kindness in her- but strength had come out in her character, replacing her former fear to do what was necessary, and she was embracing that change. She had to, or she would never get out of this sane.
Fintan nudged her, with a friendly smile on his face. If she didn't know better, she would think it was genuine. "Time to start your training, Revenge!"
Sophie forced her face into a gleeful smile. She tilted her head. "You know," She said, "I really think we chose my code name perfectly. I'm excited to show them what real vengeance is."
Fintan nodded, gleeful twinkle in his eyes. "Then, come on. Let's teach you how to kill."

A week later, Sophie was fighting like she'd been doing it her entire life. She stabbed and slashed, had perfect aim, and had mastered every weapon the Neverseen had. Every night, she went to sleep on her cold, unfamiliar bed, and imagined the Neverseen's demise.
She was going to make every person who had ever hurt her pay.

The next morning, as Sophie poked half-heartedly at the purple, sour mush that the Neverseen called food, Fintan came up to her, looking very self satisfied, Gethen by his side. The two were practically glued together these days.
He was holding a long, deathly sharp blade in his hand, which was currently sheathed at his hip. He held it out to Sophie.
Sophie stared at it blankly, before a slow smile formed on her face. Fintan held out the sword to her, blade first, daring Sophie to take it. Sophie did.
The blade cut deep into Sophie's palm, sending red droplets trickling down her hand, and onto the floor. Fintan smiled in satisfaction, then let go of the hilt, letting Sophie take it.
Sophie examined the sword admiringly. It was perfectly weighted, and jewels were encrusted in the hilt. Runes were delicately carved all over the sword.
"The sword is now keyed into your DNA." Fintan said smugly. "Anyone who tries to use it- apart from you and its creator, of course- will have the sword turn on them."
Sophie didn't have to fake her excited grin. "Thankyou. I appreciate it."
All of a sudden, just as Sophie had sheathed the sword at her own hip and was preparing to go train, a loud wailing sound began echoing through the hideout.
They were under attack.
