Gethen

Gethen stared after Fintan's retreating back. As he looked at the man's swishing cloak and tense shoulders, he felt a blossoming of love towards him.

"Fintan!" He called, running after him, leaving Sophie on the ground in spasms. "Wait!"

Fintan whirled around, face set in a snarl. "What?!" He growled. He then saw Gethen's worried face, and his eyes softened.

"Fintan..." Gethen said softly. "Listen, I know how hard it is. I've known you for hundreds of years. I know how fucking difficult it is to get up, and keep on going, and keep on fighting. But please, don't give up." Fintan's eyes met Gethen's, unreadable. Gethen continued, his voice becoming softer and softer. "Don't give up on yourself. Don't give up... on me."

Fintan strode towards Gethen, his face unreadable and eyes blank. For a second, Gethen stiffened, afraid. Afraid that he had said something too soon, that Fintan didn't share the same feelings as he did. But all his doubts disappeared as Fintan drew him in. "I love you too, you moron." He whispered. "It took you long enough."

Gethen leaned into Fintan's warmth and kissed him.

Keefe

Keefe paced furiously across the floor of his bedroom at the Shores of Solace, brow furrowed and hair in a mess. His ice blue eyes were frantic with worry as he imagined what Sophie must be going through, mind shattering and at an enemy base.

All of a sudden, Fitz, Biana and Dex glittered into existence, Keefe nearly crashing right into them.

"A bit of warning next time?" Keefe deadpanned, trying to cover up his worry with a smirk.

Fitz barely reacted as he ran a hand through his hair, his teal eyes turbulent. "Hurry up, Keefe! Forkle's called us to Havenfield- apparently the Neverseen have communicated with him. He won't tell us what they said until we get there."

Dex grabbed his pathfinder and barely gave the others any time to react as he held it up to the light and they disappeared.

Everyone jumped as the four of them appeared in Havenfield's already crowded living room.

Mr Forkle was in the middle of it all, trying to calm a harrassed Edaline and a furious Grady, who was holding a baseball bat menacingly.

"Why is Grady holding a stick?" Biana asked, confused.

Dex replied, "Sophie told me about it once! Humans use them for hitting big heavy balls in a sport... and hitting people over the head, apparently. I wonder where Grady got one..."

Keefe smirked. "That may or may not have to do with a dare I gave Sophie..." He trailed off as three pairs of fierce blue eyes pinned him to the ground. "Okay." He mumbled. "I'll shut up now."

They talked for a while longer, and Keefe received the news from Fitz that Quinlin had had to go back to Atlantis, as it seemed he could do nothing to help for now.

Mr Forkle clapped his hands for attention. "You kids, be quiet!" Grady, Edaline, Alden, Della and Tiergan glared at him in consternation.  Mr Forkle, looking awkward now, said, "And... you adults too." Edaline punched him, none too gently, but he ignored her and continued. "As you all know, I received a message today through dwarven correspondence, and it happens that after Miss Foster leaped away, she appeared in one of the Neverseen's bases and is currently in hostage of Gisela Sencen, Gethen Ondsinn, and Fintan Pyren, who are evidently the three Neverseen leaders."
